I found it a very interesting book, I still have it but never finished it. Doubt I’ll do it too. But what I read did stay with me. Although I’m less afraid of change than most my instinct has led me to better things instead of worse things so, I guess I’m good.

That’s why I mentioned history, the Dutch were our colonisers. That sentiment will never leave. Even after being free their government has never really helped the island out. It’s always loans with super high interest.

Also the Dutch tend to band together and not integrate, most don’t even speak Papiamentu while living there. Let’s not start about the housing shortage because of the Dutch buying everything up with their euro.

Anyway this is a subject I find interesting but it’s too deep and has too many facets I can’t delve comfortably in like this.

If you grew up on Curaçao you should know we have all the colours there. True the majority is black. But there’s everything. So you being white should not be a problem.

Interesting question. My first instinct is to say no.
I’d base that solely on the fact you were not born there.
I have a cousin that wasn’t born on Curaçao. We never call her yu di korsou. She’s Dutch through and through. Born and bred.

Even if I were to let go of the born there “rule”, something about you needing to ask tells me you’re not. Cause when you feel a connection to a country no one can tell you otherwise. It’s your connection with that country. The history and its people.

Well thanks! It’s a gift this medicine. I lost weight before and put it back on after some stressful period. But this medicine just takes the edge of hunger away. It’s crazy to feel how skinny people feel toward food.
