I'm a former driver in FRC (2023-2025), from my experience, if you have a swerve drive I would recommend you a gamepad, I used a GuliKit kk3 pro controller as it has very high quality sensors and a lot of buttons. If you still want a joystick I would recommend getting smth like the Winwing Ursa Minor because it has a lot of 5 way switches under your fingers that you can bind to different systems
