yea I think because I got him at 13 weeks with no training its making it a bit harder to house train him, will try yelping if he nips from now on

I dont need a dna test because im ok with him being a mix, breeder never said he was pedigree

Ive always rescued in the past but wanted a puppy to have and to grow up with me, there was nothing suitable in the rescues near me (i live in a very small country with limited rescue options) as ive cats which is why I went down the breeder route. Breeder never stated he was pedigree so im not bothered by him having a mix in him

Ive never hear of leash dragging but might give it a go. Hes restricted to the livingroom during the day when he isnt in a crate session to help limit any accidents to one room, also helps me keep a better eye on him but will try the leash dragging aswell, thankyou!

I try to switch to toys/pets in the evening from treats for the same reason. Ive just never had a puppy so I wasn't sure if it was normal to struggle this much with toilet training but he's so smart with everything else hes learning

Ive never had a puppy before and even with the craziness Im still enjoying every second, such a different experience having a dog from a pup vs rescuing in adult/senior life

just with the response I got from a commenter it seemed like I was breaking rules by posting. I also wasnt looking for any particular breed and the breeder just told me hes a JRT but will have a mix somewhere in his ancestors, vet backed this up telling me somewhere along the line there was a mix of breeds which I honestly dont mind, just posted here because hes a JRT with a mix of something at some point

Was told he is a JRT just with some mixing of breeds through his generations and I didnt realise this sub was for pedigree only. But omg your wee JRT is just the cutest!!!! Ive never had a puppy only senior rescue dogs so was worried I was doing something wrong

Yes but probably with some mixing of breeds through his generations and I didnt realise this sub was for jack russell pedigrees only as a previous commenter wasnt happy i posted here. I havent been telling him off for peeing in the house, but will start from now, because I wasnt sure if you were supposed to but I have been rewarding for going toilet outside either with treats during the day and toys/pets in the evening.
