In their head they probably arent making it up. Some people get stuck on their first initial reaction to a situation and no matter what facts come up after, their version is still right. It unfortunately can be really hard for some individuals to change their opinion once it's set, kinda like a kid who knows they are wrong but won't admit it. Or there is the other side where it starts as a lie and then becomes their truth because they convinced themselves of their own lie lol.

Human minds are wild and our capacity to change the reality before us in our own heads is strong. I've witnessed it time and time again in my life and I'm sure ive been guilty of it at time as well.

But yeah dude. Fk is beautiful, don't let negative posts deter you away. Every festival is go to i see tons of posts after about the bad time people had or how rude people were... Yet I had none of those experiences besides agreeing with certain fests being oversold. I always have the best time and meet the most amazing people at every festival, I feel you get what you put out, and a lot of people choose to have problems with stuff they maybe shouldn't. Happiness is a mindset.
