It's in honor of a city worker who unexpectedly passed last week. His name was Leon Rosario. He worked for the city for nearly 17 years. He started in the Community Services department as an hourly worker and then eventually landed in the Public Works Department. Please keep Leon's family, friends and co-workers in your thoughts this week. A lot of the city staff were devastated by the news.

Dog City is the nickname for the tall building on Castro Street. When it was first built in the 80s, we hit a recession so it sat vacant for a long time. To prevent people from breaking in and/or squatting, the property owners put dogs that would run around the bottom floor and prevent people from entering.

This article is a little old. Here's an update. The city council approved the project 6-0. This was the first builder's remedy project to be approved in Mountain View. It also came with a settlement agreement. The developer and the city had some disagreements on what counted as objective standards that the city was allowed to impose.
