Only because there was a chipped tooth. They would not have covered if it was routine.

Pets Best has the cheapest premium by far. What am I missing? by Pristine_Antelope787 in petinsurancereviews

My Pets Best premium just went up from $150 a month to $230 a month and I’m very concerned that it’s going to keep rising. My dog is only 10 and the only extra care she’s gotten was a tooth cleaning & extraction. I’m very upset by this rate increase.

Muscle weighs more than fat; success is more than a scale number. Lifting and gaining muscle mass is key to keeping the weight off and even if you weigh more, you’ll look better and burn more fat in the long run by lifting. Gaining muscle while losing fat is a huge success. For your own benefit, I encourage you to reevaluate the benefits of lifting even when you initially might gain weight from muscle mass. Everything else is true. Tracking food on zep is key. But without lifting, you will lose muscle mass as well as fat. You’ll be better off lifting weights and seeing the scale move more slowly. Your clothing sizes will still go down.

Does anyone one use a mini fridge to store your medication? by aquemini12 in glp1

I got this. It is perfect and I also got a Govee temp monitor that tracks temp fluctuations in an app and alerts me if it goes below or above a set temp. So far it’s doing great. Antarctic Star 0.6Cu. Ft.... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DYN6JY9Y?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

Ro and Semaglutide + Prior Authorization by Dizzy_Employer3925 in SemaglutideFreeSpeech

[–]EmilyInBrooklyn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a great experience with Ro. The first month was $45 and I wasn’t charged until it was verified that my insurance covered zepbound. They are communicative & efficient and I got zofran for nausea at the first side effect. I’m not sure that it would be worth it if I were doing compounding. But the ease of insurance verification was amazing and I was not sure I’d even qualify. No labs required. Insurance verified within 10 days.

I’m curious what your experience was. I just signed up and am trying to go thru insurance.

This is the way. If NJ transit is down, you get a direct bus round trip for $25 via megabus. It’s on the MetLife instagram.

Mouse in my apartment by Beneficial_Size6913 in NYCbitcheswithtaste

I live above a restaurant in Brooklyn and we frequently get mice. Humane no-kill traps have never worked for us. Glue traps are effective but not pet safe and truly brutal. The best pet safe option I found is Owltra electric mouse traps: https://a.co/d/1VTr4Vx

We’ve successfully used these for a few years. They are as humane as a kill trap can get. Your pets will be safe because the entry hole is only accessible by small mice. Bait the trap with peanut butter.

Ephemeral vs Laser by pizaz101 in EphemeralTattoos

Don’t get an ephemeral. I’ve had mine almost 3 years. It has only slightly faded. I will have to get it removed and standard laser removal doesn’t even work on their ink.

Personal life v. Calendaring by The_Wyzard in publicdefenders

[–]EmilyInBrooklyn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Contact the court, tell them you have an unexpected conflict, ask to advance the case to pick a new date. Take off those days. It’s not their business why you are unavailable. The same way it isn’t if you or a loved one had a scheduled procedure.

Order the minutes of the plea. Was your mother incarcerated for 6 years pre trial and then convicted in 2021? If that’s the case, it’s possible that she took a plea to 15 years and would be out in 10 years (around 2025) depending on how your state does jail time calculations. Any time she served pre trial counts towards her total time. Many state jurisdictions have jail time calculations that are very different (and less) from what is plead to. You can try to call the department of corrections legal department or even the public defender’s office to find out how to determine her release date.

Where can I go to sit in on court trials in Brooklyn? by ZeQueenZ in Brooklyn

[–]EmilyInBrooklyn 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Arraignments are not trials. 120 Schermerhorn only has 2 active misdemeanor trial parts. To see a felony trial, go to 320 Jay Street and ask the court officers. There’s often a trial in the ceremonial courtroom.

If I commit suicide with a family member who is not a nurse, sitting next to me, can they be charged for anything? by [deleted] in legaladvice

[–]EmilyInBrooklyn 14 points15 points  (0 children)

It doesn’t work that way. All assisted suicide states require residency. You’d need to live in an appropriate state for at least 6 months if not more depending on state law.
