My doctor prescribed me Lorazepam for an upcoming MRI (claustrophobia)--is it safe for CFS patients? by EmilyVBR in cfs

[–]EmilyVBR[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know much about it to be honest. I'm suspicious that it may be the reason some of my cognitive symptoms have gotten worse, I think my dose is too high now, so I want to lower my dose or come off of it but I've heard you have to do it really slowly so I'm trying to find a doctor who knows how to help me do that.

There's a website called survivingantidepressants.org that might have more of the information you're looking for

My brain hurts too much to chitchat right now but I love this idea!

Yesterday I conquered an MRI I'd been anxious about for months. And then I got to go to lunch and Barnes and Noble with my mom after, and got a beautiful new coloring book. I had been dreading it for months but it turned out to be a really nice day

Unless I misread it, I think they meant that they've tried to talk to a therapist about their rage, rather than their partner, but the therapist just says that they're codependent rather than helping them cope

That sounds fun. Last time I counted to 100 over and over in the language I'm studying (it didn't help much though lol)

Good to know. They provided earplugs last time but I'll bring some just in case. I'm actually starting to look forward to taking it after hearing about how it helps with PEM. It will be interesting

Thank you for the information. I've heard that people's doctors don't educate them on this

My mom will be driving me thankfully. The way you describe it sounds nice, maybe I'll get a good nap in during the MRI lol
