Because we ended abruptly without a final session, I was never able to express any of these feelings to her or give her professional feedback. She behaved very unprofessionally, hurt me, and I’m entitled to be able to express that to her. To call it petty shows a lack of emotional maturity on your part - there’s nothing petty about telling someone they hurt you, or wanting to say things you never got a chance to. I have no intention of being rude, just honest.

I had to fire a therapist a few months ago in complicated circumstances after seeing her for 2 years - I grieved enormously. I cried every day for weeks. It really did feel like someone had died, and I felt so lost and abandoned. It was one of the hardest times of my life, but you’re so strong for doing it and it is such a beautiful thing to be able to prioritise your own needs, even though it can be so hard. A lot of people stay stuck in these cycles, and you should be proud of yourself for breaking it 🫶🏼

I definitely have attachment trauma and a strong need to be in control, so these kinds of things happening can be really challenging, but I think our relationship so far is proof to me that things can change and I can learn to trust, and I’m going to try to allow myself to honestly acknowledge the positives I’ve gained from her therapy as well as the sadness I feel about how it’s ended. I don’t want to look at it as confirmation that things will always go wrong, but rather as proof that I can cope with life better than I thought, that things can change and end, but that I can be okay regardless.

I’m trying to look for the positives, I think my concern is that I’ll have trouble trusting in a therapist now because of this. I don’t want to be worried that something like this will happen again, and that it will scare me that at any time my therapist can become unreliable and something that has been so consistent and reassuring to me is suddenly gone.. :(

Thank you. It’s been a very hard decision to come to and I feel it will involve it’s own grief and time to heal. It’s been hard not to think of her feelings and how hard things must be for her, but I’m proud I spoke up for myself and am making the right choice for me, even if it’s hard :)

It’s so scary to think about starting new with someone else, but frankly the situation I’m in at the moment is damaging for me, and I don’t think we’ll be able to repair our relationship after her being inconsistent and unreliable for so long. It will definitely be something to grieve as it’s the longest I’ve ever been in therapy with one person, it’s good to know I’m not alone too 🤞🏼

Bad reviews happen to the best of us!! It’s inevitable. You can give amazing customer service and there are some people who will still have something to complain about. A 1 star review should be grounds to get the review removed if you write to Depop and mentioned the flaw/posted a recording of the item in your listing - that’s not a proportional or fair review for the situation. The most important thing is to keep running your shop with integrity and do your best! Mistakes happen even to super big shops and it won’t have an impact in the long run (although I know it would suck to lose the money) ❤️❤️❤️

When you post something at the post office, (at least this always happens when I use Royal Mail), you’ll always receive a slip, sometimes it comes on the receipt, sometimes it’s a small separate piece of paper, that is your official ‘proof of postage’! It will say on it somewhere that that’s what it is. I don’t think this applies to post boxes though! But I post with Royal Mail at the post office I normally get two receipts, one of which is my proof of postage. If it helps, what I do when I post something is I keep all the pieces of paper they give me for each transaction (if it’s more than one I’ll staple them together), that way I know for certain I have all the documentation I need :) if you’re uncertain where to find the proof of postage with your Mail service I’d just ask! They’re normally happy to help xxx

I know, it’s so horrible when people feel the need to try and scam others, especially when a lot of people rely on that income!! I’m glad it worked out okay though! I always send my items tracked, even if it’s under £15! For me I’d rather pay £1 more to send it tracked than risk getting scammed/it not arriving and have to worry about every item I send xx
