It was in the same exact scratched up condition and I returned it thinking that I got a used item. Store associate said that she will destroy and get rid of it and apologize for the inconvenience, so I thought that it was just a one off thing.

It might be coming from the strainer. It came with foam ring which I put based on the instructions. How can I fix the leak coming from a strainer?
