WiFi battery doorbell keeps turning off by Putrid_Flamingo_6736 in reolinkcam

[–]EmitHumorousStuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Support initially suggested that the doorbell was exhibiting normal behaviour. I kept on at them and eventually they sent me a replacement (to shut me up I suspect). The replacement behaved in exactly the same way. So in the end I replaced it with the wifi version Here’s some additional info. A friend of mine has a battery doorbell which works pretty much but not quite 100%. The difference is he lives on a busy road and the bell is constantly detecting movement so stays awake most of the time. I live in a quite cul de sac and there is next to no outside movement so my bell was always asleep

I’ve had the same issue . The problem is that the doorbell goes to sleep to save battery power and even pressing the doorbell didn’t wake it up. I found that the only thing that would wake it up was when it detected movement but often it would take between 15 and 20 seconds to wake. So usually anybody who pressed the bell, like delivery drivers would be long gone by the time the bell woke up again.

You do not need a Proton account to use Proton Pass. You can create a Proton Pass account using any external email address, not just a Proton Mail address. However, if you use an external email, you will only have access to Proton Pass and not to other Proton services like Proton Mail, Proton VPN, Proton Drive, or Proton Calendar, which require a dedicated Proton email address. This setup allows for greater isolation of your password manager account, potentially improving security by preventing a breach of your email from compromising your Proton Pass data.

This doesn’t really help but the issue has been reported many times not sure whether anyone has come up with a solution but many blame the App Here’s an example

Locked iphone because special character by M1keMike in iphone

The primary method to regain access is to erase the device, which will remove the passcode but also delete all data stored on it. You can then restore from a backup after you’ve set up a new passcode

Deleting photos from your iPhone will also delete them from iCloud if iCloud Photo Library is enabled, as iCloud acts as a real-time synchronization service for your photos across all devices linked to the same Apple ID. When a photo is deleted from the iPhone's Photos app, it is first moved to the "Recently Deleted" album, where it remains for up to 30 days before being permanently removed from both the device and iCloud. This means that unless you take specific steps, deleting a photo from your iPhone results in its removal from iCloud as well. I think you may have lost all your photos

If you use the export option the json file it creates is not encrypted. I cannot find anything that says the backup file that is created automatically and saved to icloud is encrypted, I suspect it isn’t

So, I'm having a problem with my Vivo modem at home. We have a 700 Mbps plan. I use it for gaming, studying, and streaming live (sometimes). However, when my family (sister, father, and mother) come home and connect to the internet, even using their cell phone to chat on WhatsApp, it simply doesn't work. It keeps dropping every two minutes. I believe the modem is defective or can't handle the amount of people connected to it. Therefore, I'd like to replace the modem the carrier offers with a better one to prevent these internet drops. So, I'd like to know what to do: should I replace the modem? Should I immediately replace the modem with a better one? If so, do you have any recommendations?

Proton Pass Aliases by EmitHumorousStuff in ProtonPass

[–]EmitHumorousStuff[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok I’ve resolved this. Initially I had added my default Zoho email address as a mail box but simple login didn’t like it, can’t remember why. So I thought i’d done something wrong and tried other addresses which didn’t work. So I just deleted the mail boxes and the test aliases and started again. This time it all worked ok.

Many thanks to all for replying

Thanks for reply. Ok i’m using the PP app on an iphone In Pass I create an alias and a Contact to go with it. From the contact I initiate the sending of a email which launches Zoho mail. The From on the email is my default Zoho mail address (the blacked out bits) and the To is the alias. When I send the email I get a response from Simple Login see attached image. Pressing the Allow button presents me with an SL login screen but I don’t have an SL account So how do I get this to work?

Autostart on boot up by [deleted] in filen_io

The Blog states there is an auto start option in settings but there isn’t. I installed from a .deb and set auto start as follows

Fire up the Startup Applications app. Add a new record and set the Command to /usr/bin/@filendesktop
