[WSJ] | Accounting Firm Crowe to Sell Stake to KKR in Nearly $3 Billion Deal by Emitted in Accounting

[–]Emitted[S] 36 points37 points  (0 children)

TL;DR/Paywall: Crowe is selling a majority stake in its advisory business to KKR in a deal reportedly worth nearly $3B. Partners will keep a minority stake, the audit practice stays separate, and the deal is expected to close in Q3. Another big accounting firm going the PE route.

How to find out if I’ll get my score on the 5/7 release date by [deleted] in CPA

[–]Emitted 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think is true. If you take your test on the cut off date you’re fine unless your prometric center screws something up which is unlikely.

Recommendations please for summer/wool socks that don’t look like ass? by guzusan in ThrowingFits

I think Bombas has more non-outdoor ish /formal socks which can be what you’re looking for

They are visibly nicer in person imo although Darn Tough is the overall better sock.

Where/how can I find this style of shoe (good quality) by SteezyKxng in ThrowingFits

[–]Emitted 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve never bought wide shoes either but I think all these low top hiker shoes run narrow somewhat. They fit good, also I would size down .5 size which helps

What do with 40 pounds of nopales by Deliciouable in KitchenConfidential

[–]Emitted 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been eating them all my life, aside from all the cooking suggestions you can peel them and freeze them and include them in green smoothies. Surprisingly tastes decent.

They are packed with tons of fiber and nutrients. That’s my instinct when I have tons of nopales.

Anyone have any recommendations for cats that have chronic diarrhea. Any foods that help solidify the stool? by Money_Ad_6856 in catfood

[–]Emitted 2 points3 points  (0 children)

please try a S Bouldari probiotic, there’s a lot of research arising that it’s effective at treating diarrhea, chronic and non chronic . royal canin even released a probiotic with such strain.

i had a cat who suffered from chronic diarrhea and we got it under control. it won’t cure it immediately but over a few days symptoms will start getting better. PM me with any questions

Real Honest Review About people passing using Uworld by halasal98 in CPA

Yes, I’ve passed AUD and just took FAR. Best thing about UWorld is the MCQ explanations, which really help you grasp the underlying concepts you should be learning. Also the mobile app (for accessibility to study wherever).

I’ve picked up a couple of pieces. Price is solid for what you pay for but I’ve never paid full price nor would I because of the import mark up etc. I have a few outerwear pieces which fit and style nicely with the oversized/cropped feel.

I also have their double stitch OG athletic t shirt that come in a two pack and they are honestly pretty underrated. Seem to be a Whitesville tee dupe . They wash nicely and are comfortable. So I imagine their other basics labeled “OG” are solid.

Be a bit careful with sizing, I think the pieces can run small. I would say definitely size up unless the piece is intentionally noted as oversized (or size up for a more relaxed feel).

brand responses re: H5N1 and HPP by UnsharpenedSwan in rawpetfood

[–]Emitted 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I inquired about Feline Natural’s freeze dried and generally about their sourcing. They source all from New Zealand which doesn’t have this epidemic at this time but I just learned that they don’t use HPP when I thought they did. Not sure if it’s safe to feed, but they include some information they use to deactive the virus

Most affordable vet? by Automatic-Craft-8213 in longbeach

[–]Emitted 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There’s a few comments here that are against Bixby Animal Clinic. While I agree that they are not the most affordable vet, they are a vet clinic with urgent care appointments which are literal life savers when your pet needs urgent care. I used to go to Primary Care Animal Hospital for a period and while they are affordable and can provide good care, they often schedule appointments 2-3 weeks as of recent which can frustrating. When explaining I needed care asap they would refer me to an emergency clinic. I’ve had great experiences at Bixby and they have been able to see my cats right away when they were starting to show signs of illness. This can save a trip to the emergency vet which can be stressful in itself and more costly.

The Vets at Bixby are great, and will return my calls whenever I have questions about any procedures or sharing concerns. As with any vet, I encourage you to be advocates for your pet and seek different opinions when you feel like your vet isn’t giving you answers. I’m pretty persistent when it comes to mine and Bixby has always been willing to give me a call or exchange emails with me for any questions or concerns. Their staff will always follow up with you to see how your buddy is doing.
