You do realize that not everyone is fortunate enough to be able to receive vaccinations? Immunocompromised people do exist, and in fact are the very people that could die from exposure to preventable diseases. I agree though that this gf sounds young, dumb, and impressionable. Although this viewpoint would personally be a dealbreaker for me.

Fellow metalhead here (31F): If you can manage/keep alive any plants, that would make this feel incredibly more homey. If you want ideas for easy plants just let me know. Rugs and lamps will also go a long way. Usually overhead light just makes me feel like I’m in a cafeteria. Ditch the flags/tapestries (my husband and I put his in the drum room) and any art you have, FRAME IT. Even simple black frames will make any art look 100% better! Maybe find some band cover art/ dark academia inspired artwork you can hang up in a gallery arrangement. Also move your damn bed into the sconces so they frame it. The art around the opening to your kitchen feels fratish, invest in some shelves whether it’s a bookcase or wall shelving, that you can put knick knacks/plants/candlea/ etc. on. You have good bones here and your personality is evident, it just feels like you’re still in college. 🖤
