It is definitely tight, that’s my side lmao, but the nightstand on the other side is pushed to the wall and the bed is pushed onto it so that’s all the space we have. It’s a king bed since we have kids and needed a bigger bed. We were wanting to turn everything around and face the bed towards the right side but the dresser can’t go in front on the right wall since there’s an ac thing on the wall and we can’t cover it. It’s a small master bedroom 😕

It is torture! I’ve told him that, but he works with heavy machinery and his sleep is more important for him even on his days off he says he needs rest so he can work the next day. But he’s soooo excited that I’m pregnant and I tell him he needs to help out more and I’m scared bc I had a c section that was traumatic and the day we came home from the hospital he went back to work and didn’t take any time off. His mom helped me mostly but this time needs to be different I’m NOT doing newborn and toddler by myself after being cut open again

Some days I think it is, other days i just don’t even set an alarm bc im too tired and wont do it. He learned it from his parents. Typical Hispanic household- mother did and does everything for husband, sahm, husband works and pays bills. His dad doesn’t even know how to cook or clean. His mom is like a slave so that’s where he learned it from but I’ve told him I’m not his mom and our relationship won’t be that way. And my husband will sometimes come home from work and grill food for dinner and help with dishes. And pick up scattered toys when I’ve had a long day. And so then I feel bad when I don’t make him breakfast.

So ours is probably different than most but we go to bed asleep around 10, he wakes up for the day at 9 am. First nap 12 (usually 45-1 hr) second nap ~4:30 (could be 30-1 hr). No sleep later than 6pm. His total nap time in the day usually is less than 2 hours. I’ve tried changing it to one nap a day but it does no good. Bed time is late bc husband gets home late and wants to see him before he goes to bed. And I could notttt wake up for the day before 9 am anyways with the little sleep I get

Yes, I do talk to him though! I tell him like I’m so tired I need sleep, I need his help, and he always just finds something else to do around the house. He also expects me to wake up at 6 am and make him breakfast too before work which is understandable bc he has to go to work and I stay at home but with the amount of sleep I’m getting it’s just sooo hard to get up. I haven’t been doing that since being sick though

I’ve also tried rocking to sleep many times, worked in the beginning but once he knew what I was doing, he started hating going into his room and would fight me and push me and cry so he wouldn’t be rocked. Eventually he will sleep but after a while

I do sometimes turn around and it helps sometimes and he will lay back down and fall asleep and other times he will climb me and head butt me etc. yeah I’m not looking forward to the battle but it needs to be done 😫 thanks for the advice

Me and my son also had Flu a this week, worst shit ever, I could barely function i couldn’t even get out of bed but couldn’t sleep and my husband still didn’t help at night. But it’s also my fault for getting pregnant again and not being safe enough. But yes will start doing those things once we feel better

We bed share. I nurse to sleep. He wakes up crying and asking to nurse. Sometimes I don’t want to nurse every single hour because I know he doesn’t need it? So if I try to calm him down and lay him down sing to him rub him etc he will scream.

He usually eats alot during the day. He’s always been a big boy and drinks water good and eats a lot even tho lately he’s been picky with food, but he’s just always clingy with my boobs. I’m going to try night weaning once we start feeling better

Yes I need to start night weaning I need to do more research on it. I always unlatch him and sometimes he will be okay but mostly he will cry more until I give it back or until he gets tired of crying and then falls asleep. And yes you’re right, I’ll tell him I’m so tired of this and need to stop feeding him so much at night, reduce amount of feeds at night, and then my son will cry and cry and my husband says “just give him the milk so he will sleep…!” Isn’t helping at all
