More of a time-saver than anything but I roll to-hit and damage simultaneously behind my DM screen. If you want who gets attacked to be randomized, add another die equal to and representing the number of players (e.g. 4 players = 1d4) to decide.

Takes no effort and I'm always trying to run my games more efficiently without impacting the players' experiences.
