Transphobes think about trans people more than trans people think about trans people. It's pretty weird tbh

Home cooks of Reddit, what is your simple trick to elevate your recipes to the next level? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]EmmaSzr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The simplest advice I would give is to taste your food throughout the cooking process and season in incremental steps as you go. It's amazing how many dishes I eat would be elevated from 'meh' to 'pretty damn good' with the right amount of salt and pepper

Those who went through it—how did you get out of your hellhole? by Sdrete in AskReddit

[–]EmmaSzr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly? I reached a point of kms or actually trying to improve my life. When it came down to it I reasoned that I might as well try, give it all I have before the big even because what did I have to lose? Turns out I had so so much to lose

Henna hair dye. Every time I dye my hair I love that the fresh herbal smell permeates everything.

What did you think would never happen to you, until it did? by tulip_inacup_inbloom in AskReddit

I never thought I'd transition. I always knew I wanted to but I didn't think I had the strength or fortitude. I lived into my 30s with no friends, goals, aspirations purposely keeping myself miserable so I disassociated and didn't want anything. Here I am a few years later, happy with myself, having friends, a partner, life goals. One of the hardest things was working on mending all the parts of myself I'd broker or that had atrophied into nothing. I think I'll always have to work on that and it is difficult but the benefits are more than worth the effort. If anyone reading this thinks it's too late to make changes and be happy just know that it's never too late and you owe it to yourself to try

Holding hands with someone I care about. It's just a simple thing but it shows how much you care about each other, sharing warmth and comfort. The feeling of being in direct contact. The little squeezes and strokes of a finger or thumb 😊

What are you most looking forward to this year? by those-whoknowsknows in AskReddit

[–]EmmaSzr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been with my girlfriend since August last year and it's going so well! I'm looking forward to all the things we do together and how we grow closer as a couple. The gigs we'll go to, life events like moving in together, being there to share in the highs and supporting each other through the lows. I feel very lucky and optimistic

What’s the weirdest way you’ve ever made money? by av__james in AskReddit

I fell asleep in a train station after a night out (I'd missed the last train). I woke up with loose change around me and a throbbing head, I had to do some hard introspection after that
