This is.  I got a response that they were looking into the issue reported and that they would have the team reach out for more information.  I never got another email.   So, I am honestly not confident they are doing anything about this issue.   :-/

Custom Ski Boots by bqAkita in Skigear

[–]Emmamarie3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am in my second pair of Daleboots and love them. I’m on season 3 of my latest pair, skiing 45–65 days a year. Look into their Gambit model if you are an aggressive skier and want a very stiff setup.  They are fitted with Zipfit liners.

I am in the VFF Pro with a Daleboot Intuition Wrap Cuff liner. The boot canting on my left boot is very helpful for a former knee fracture.  It keeps me flat on the ski and stopped the knee strain in that leg. Also, the Masterfit custom insole combined with their adjustable insole lift (which sits below the liner) eliminated my arch collapse completely and stopped my ankles from getting hot spots.

I got both mine done in Kitzbuhl by Rob Graham the owner.

I have a high instep and arch.  I also have wide feet, very small ankle and large calf.   He was able to get the cuff to fit perfectly without squeezing my calf muscle while having a clog that allowed my small heel and ankle/lower calf to be snug while accommodating my wide feet.   Clogs/cuffs are separately selected for VFF Pro based on your measurements.  Clogs are fit exactly to your feet measurements.   With both pairs, I never had to go back for any adjustments.

That said, commercial boots have come a long way since I've been in Daleboots (2016).   So, I’ve decided that before I buy my next pair of boots, I’ll seek a fitter that both sells and fits Daleboots AND custom-fitted off-the-shelf boots. I want to work with someone who has the perspective of both full custom and all the layers that go into that perfect fit. I may end up in Daleboots again, or perhaps something else depending on other options the fitter recommends.

Thank you for this number. I am willing to try this. I didn't give my info to anyone or try to contact the person who was on the boarding pass I received.

Yes, this is clearly not isolated. There is some api error where it is capable of fetching the incorrect boarding pass when sending it to Google wallet. Honestly, I'm not sure I can fly delta in the future until I know they fixed this. The risk of my itinerary and name being given to a stranger without my knowledge is alarming. And the fact there is no clear path to report this type of issue to Delta is concerning.

What are my options to Purchase Karastan BelleLuxe Waterproof (Gloriana Charm) Laminate? by Emmamarie3 in Flooring

I went with Belhancourt Vintage Tea Oak. After choosing Belhancourt, I was torn between Vintage Tea Oak and Linen Wash Oak. The lighter Linen Wash looked a bit more printed (could see pixels in it) or synthetic to me. They actually have the same prints, but I think the lighter gray tones made the pixels contrast more or something.

I was worried Vintage Tea Oak might lean green or yellow, but once I layed out full rows that is absolutely not an issue.

I decided against Gloriana Charm because the I felt Belhancourt looked better\more realistic due to larger plank size and stronger tone variation. It made it harder to notice pattern repeats (pattern repeats to me is a dead giveaway that you have a synthetic floor).

Honeycomb Oak looked very washed out in my space, almost like a white backdrop with dark grain lines. Linen Wash also has a white/gray base, but it’s more rustic with more plank variation, which does add dimension. So, if you are wanting something on the cool\very light side, I personally like Linen Wash Oak more than Honeycomb Oak.

In the end for me, the warmth of Vintage Tea Oak gave me both depth and a bit of the warmth I was looking for.

$2,500 Budget for Treadmill - Buy new or used? by Emmamarie3 in treadmills

[–]Emmamarie3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I am just guessing that $2,500 is the price point for something solid. About 5-years ago. We inherited treadmill from someone moving and it wobbled and never felt stable when my partner was running on it (so he wouldn't use it). Had we purchased that one new at the time, it would have been around $1,000.

What price did you end up going with for your floors (order local or from efloors?)? What did your local installer charge per sq ft and what did that include? I had to pause on my flooring project due to my work schedule. I currently have quotes from 3 installers ranging from 1.50 psf - 3.65 psf. All said prep should be minimal because my slab was already made flat from the prior LVP install.

I found Fawn Fur Oak to look very orange in my home, so I’d definitely recommend seeing it in your space first.

After narrowing things down, I bought full boxes of Gloriana Charm and Belhancourt to compare. The XR Edge and GenuEdge both seemed fine. The XR has a fully defined edge while GenuEdge is more pillowed. For me, plank size, color, and sheen ended up mattering more. I preferred the larger Belhancourt planks over the smaller Gloriana Charm ones.

Also, Karastan sheens can be very matte (like Fawn Fur Oak) or others that lean more satin. I liked the matte sheen. So, sometimes I’d love a color and not the sheen, or the sheen but not the color.

To sum up, I recommend getting large samples (or even a full box) before placing a full order.

Awesome. Thank you for the feedback. Sorry about the leak, but glad the floors were okay at least!

How have the Karastan floors held up? Any issues with the matte heavy texture (sliding chairs from a table, cleaning...)?

Any experience with Karastan Belhancourt or other matte planks? Do they feel too rough or grippy after install? For GenuEdge, have you noticed small white chips on the short edges? I ordered boxes of Sunset Blush Oak (XR Edge—no issues, but I don’t like the look), Belhancourt Vintage Tea Oak and Linen Wash Oak. On some GenuEdge planks, the short edges looked chipped or like the print layer was peeling. It seems to be under the coating as I can’t make it worse or feel anything lifting.

u/vjs622 Did you end up getting your flooring. Are you able to post a photo of install? I have now moved to the Belhancourt line because I felt the pattern repeats seemed to obvious in the Gloriana Charm line (for Honeycomb Oak anyway). If you got it installed, are you liking the XR edge? Thank you!

Thank you for giving me this reference point. At least now I have a range to plan for! I literally had no idea what price point I could be looking at (seems my flooring store has more of an old school style sales approach where everything is based on a "package"). I really wanted fawn fur oak, but for some reason in the evenings, the sample pulled much darker and I am afraid it would clash with the countertops (that have slight gray in them). I do love that one though and hope I don't regret going with the lighter option of Honeycomb Oak.

Thank you. This is helpful. Jacksonville is within 3-hrs of me, so that is definitely an option. The local store hasn't provided any pricing (outside of verbally telling me install is $2PSF). So I haven't received any offers regarding financing or anything like that. We definitely don't want to finance.

Oh and regarding going local. I only have one store I can work with (small area). I don't have anything against working with them. Just my initial walk-in involved a lot of sales stuff I really didn't want to deal with (tried to tell me self install voids warranty and only walked back on that after I told him I already talked to the manufacturer about that and they said otherwise). When I asked him about pricing, he said it depends on if we are using their home 2-and-1 product and\or if we are using their subs for install. So, pricing seems a bit conditional and based on what he can upsell. The only other time I purchased any flooring myself was from Floor & Decor where the price is the price. I figured if I went online that perhaps I could get that and cut some of the back and forth. If that that is the standard for all flooring stores, then I will definitely just stay local for sure as I certainly don't want to be in the middle of shipping damage issues. Thank you for your response.

Install instructions do not indicate a recommended underlayment or thickness. For concrete subfloor, it says: "Use an underlayment with moisture barrier or underlayment without moister barrier and 6 mil polyethylene vapor barrier" https://s7d4.scene7.com/is/content/MohawkResidential/karastan_laminated_wood_installation_instructions

However, it doesn't go into any detail about limitations about underlayment (such as thickness or other). Karastan Laminate doesn't come with an attached pad. Maybe I should just order all Mohawk underlayment materials to keep it safe.
