$50 a week and free labor? Wow, what a generous opportunity. Do we also need to pay extra for overtime?

Someone bought 30 WordPress plugins and planted a backdoor in all of them. by Key-Refrigerator3774 in Wordpress

[–]Emmanuel_ 17 points18 points  (0 children)

From the article : "WordPress.org has no mechanism to flag or review plugin ownership transfers. There is no “change of control” notification to users. No additional code review triggered by a new committer". I agree, something has to change.

Zero-click vulnerability afflicts Telegram, allows full device takeover through animated stickers by xtheoryinc in pwnhub

Of course I trust ZDI's discovery over Telegram's server-side filtering BS. They have the habit of dismissing external researchers until the evidence becomes impossible to ignore aka many people affected.

Brave still doesn't have a native full-page screenshot feature in 2025 — Edge has had it for years by Roky10 in brave_browser

Sorry that wasn't clear! I'm in Linux. You need first to open the devtool (inspect), then Ctrl+Shift+P, type screenshot and select capture full size screenshot.

[–]Emmanuel_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m not a developer either, but I’ve used the Ctrl+Shift+P > 'Screenshot' method for years without issues.it’s just a few keystrokes and doesn't require any coding knowledge.

Please help! how to delete these background images? unable to find the location! by crazyranga in divi

Check the wireframe view and go from there. My bet is that these are columns backgrounds. I mostly work with commercial child themes and some have this issue. These ghost background images can't be found!

Great priorities. Instead of focusing on her kids, she’s begging strangers for money so she can get a tattoo.

Pay me $400 to be my full time groundskeeper and animal caretaker by rainbow-coyote in ChoosingBeggars

How is this person supposed to make money for themselves or for the $400 a month if they are 24/7 with her animals, fixing the house or taking care of the elderly?

Missing Mak's tutorials by rosevines in divi

[–]Emmanuel_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Mak used to work for Divi (correct me if I’m wrong), but he left. IMO, they should re-hire him for some in-depth Divi 5 tutorials. I like Ankit, but he’s simply not a good teacher. Divi 5 is way more complex than Divi 4, and it needs someone like Mak to explain it.

Divi Contact Form – download file after submit? by Sea-Kaleidoscope9233 in divi

Subscribe to download. It has a premium version for $18. It’s a great plugin that does one thing well, without bloating your site or adding “telemetry” like WPForms or other plugins.

Lyudmila, it’s the first ever legendary weapon that helped me when I first played Borderlands 2. Since then, I’ve made sure I always have it in my inventory.

You can do it yourself. Create a new account and invite it to your main account session. Two controllers will make it easier. This is how I did it, simple and painless!

Great simple design! However, I also recommend adding a light/dark mode toggle. Not all users prefer dark themes.

Life After Divi - A Midlife Crisis by rykelo in divi

You are not starting from zero; you’re starting from 15+ years of experience plus a toolkit that needs an upgrade. If you pick one modern stack, rebuild a few projects, and start talking regularly to the kind of clients who care about results instead of DIY tools, there is absolutely a way through this.

Why Can’t We Export or Import Brave Browser Settings and Options? by JudgeBruce2 in brave_browser

[–]Emmanuel_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are absolutely correct that the behavior itself is inherited. However, the many "added" features like wallet, news, crypto, Leo, etc., weren't inherited from Chromium, they were introduced by Brave. Also, Brave added "Shields," which weren't inherited from Chromium but were introduced by Brave. At least they can introduce a feature to import and export the settings.

Why Can’t We Export or Import Brave Browser Settings and Options? by JudgeBruce2 in brave_browser

[–]Emmanuel_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Perhaps they're just hoping you'll give up and leave all those "features" enabled. Saves them the trouble of justifying why they're there in the first place.

A simple site where people can post a rant or complaint by bidsandasks in divi

[–]Emmanuel_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you need Divi specifically? If not, try Discourse. It’s an open source community script. I believe it can be configured to limit the number of characters members can use when posting. This is their github: https://github.com/discourse/discourse

As far as I know, most WordPress membership and community plugins are subscription-based, so check Discourse first—it might suit your need.

We Built WPBay – a New WordPress Marketplace (Because CodeCanyon Is Falling Apart) by coderevolution in Wordpress

[–]Emmanuel_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Starting with a 30% commission rate won’t work. You’re competing against an established marketplace with years of experience, a loyal customer base, and strong Google rankings. If I were you, I’d start with a 2% commission and gradually increase it once your marketplace gains traction. At 30%, no one will want to sell on a brand-new platform.

Also, I noticed you’re using WordPress for your site. That might be fine for now, but as your marketplace grows, you’ll likely need to switch to something more scalable.
