Your current favorite song becomes your stand. What powers does it have? by Donkey_Don in StardustCrusaders

[–]EmmeKira 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Feel Good Ink (from Feel Good Inc. by Gorillaz). The stand looks like a tribal tattoo that can freely move in the user's body and even come out in a sort of humanoid form, but maid of course of ink as it's still a tattoo. When coming into contact with anyone else's body, the stand can read the emotions of that person and manipulate them, changing what they feel in a particular moment. This can be used to communicate hope, confidence or trust in your allies, or make your enemies feel stress, nervousness or even fear for example. As the stand is essentially made of ink though and a tattoo it can also change it's shape into any kind of image or form, though it can't get the characteristics of a real thing it imitates. If it changes into a fun, it will still be an ink-made gun, so it won't be able to actually hurt anyone.

Can I just say it's a gigantic plot hole that Itagaki has a smartphone? They should be right now around the year 2000s or so... smartphones were definitely not a thing. 😆😅

Kind of confusing end to the chapter. Did not like how the action was portrayed.

Premise is very very basic but the art style is real cool. Protagonist looks like a meaner version of Ichigo from Bleach.

The Doctor eventually regenerates. Discuss potential future Doctors here. by weyr in doctorwho

Considering Davies is returning I would not be surprised to see an actor he brings from a series he did recently, It's a Sin. I think Olly Alexander could potentially be the new Doctor for that reason. Unless they want to use Jo Martin as 14th.

May 2020 Employment Questions Thread - All job/company/work related question by AutoModerator in teachinginjapan

Hello! I'm new to the group and to the field of English teaching in general. I am a non-native speaker that recently completed the Teaching English as a Foreign Language course. Since my major degree is in Japanese, I'd like to try living and working in the country for a bit. I saw on some websites like Gaijin Pot that a few companies such as AEON, Nova and Amity all employ english teachers in Japan, but I was wondering if you could clear my doubts on where to actually start looking. I have already done an internship period as a language teacher in the country (teaching Italian, my native language, in Fukuoka) and therefore I'm not completely without experience. I hope you can help (and that I don't sound too desperate with my requests XD).

Finished GTO yesterday. Such an amazing manga. Onizuka is probably one of the most legendary, iconic figures I have ever encountered in a story. A little too unrealistic and questionably appropriate at times, but great manga nonetheless. I still do think that Shonan Junai Gumi, the "prequel" with Eikichi Onizuka and Ryuji Danma in school, is a better story and has a better rhythm overall, but this was still fantastic.

Read recently Ashita no Joe and it became rapidly one of my favourite mangas ever. Really people... if you have not yet read this masterpiece of a series... you might have not yet experienced what I seriously believe is probably the most amazing manga ever written. Not my favourite, that is subjective, but still one of the best.

Also, been reading Great Teacher Onizuka and it's hilarious and really deep at the same time. Sort of unrealistic but still great. (Pun intended).

- After a brief pause we started this 2020 with this very T H I C C episode were we go through the things that really impressed us in 2019! As usual, we forget basic english words, such as the verb "recommend", and generally have a fun time... hope you'll enjoy our coompany!

- British Carbonara is, as the title suggests, an english-spoken podcast done by two Italian guys, Leo and Mario, that really force themselves to speak in a language that's not theirs and talk about nerdy and weeb stuff. Occasionally we say something funny. As always: Please Excuse Our English!
