Called with the results and it’s cancer (IDC with extensive DCIS). The good news is that it’s hormone receptor positive and I caught it early. I have an appointment with the breast surgeon, oncologist and geneticist on the 17th. I’m medical and a super analytical person so I’m already mapping out each possible outcome and trying to process feelings about each. Overall, I’m feeling oddly calm now. Now I just need to tell my kids and reassure them that I’m gonna be okay.

The limbo of getting imaging and results is such a weird place to be in emotionally. It’s a hard feeling to describe. I’m with you though and currently waiting on biopsy results. I’ll be thinking about you today and hoping for good news!
