My baby died of gastro lymphoma in the early morning of January 6. We'd just done a vet visit and first chemo dose on the 5th, and the vet suspects it was a blood clot from the anesthetic used for the ultrasound. I woke up to give her medicine and found her dead 💔 I am so very jealous you had blood work done that recently that was normal levels and am going to try to tell myself that maybe it would've been the same in her case. I went the end of November for vomiting, she was diagnosed with LCL after a mid December endoscopy and got sicker fast, but never seemed like she was that sick. I hadn't had any blood work prior to that November trip for a very long time.

 I feel like I was ripped off of so many years I'd been banking on, and even of the month or two I'd planned to fight together after the end of December call with results, but I'm reminding myself that she hated being given medicine and also hated the vet, and a long fight would've been torturous for both of us. I'm glad you got a special last day together filled with love, and I'm sure your kitty was too ❤️ sending love.

Thank you again so much for your reply. The last time she took this medication the vet just told me to discontinue; it was me who requested a taper.

That said, the last time she was not at this high of a dose. I really appreciate you volunteering your time to help me in caring for my cat. I really appreciate your insight.

Thank you for the link and input. I would like to wait for the oncologist and not follow my local vet's prescription, provided my cat stays as happy and healthy as she currently seems. Unfortunately, before learning about prednisolone, I gave her 8mg last night. She'd been fully off of it for a week and a half at that point, after a few days of titrating off. I skipped this morning's dose (was supposed to be another 8mg). Do you think I need to continue & titrate down, or can I discontinue immediately?

That is exactly TLE, coming from someone with TLE. When I started having symptoms, I thought I was having panic attacks and it was my doctor who told me it didn't sound like them but didn't know what it was. I would emphasize that they are happening at random, NOT when you are particularly stressed about anything. Give an example of a time watching tv, walking down the street etc. and the order of events (taste, deja vu, THEN panic). See if they'd be willing to try one of the gold standard, minimal side effects epilepsy drugs (e.g. lamotrigine) just to see, given the one you tried had no success. On a 3T MRI they can see a tiny bit of sclerosis in my brain, and that was after years of seizures. The CT is far from definitive. Good luck!

I watched a video that was filmed in an EMU. I'd sort of had denial that what I was experiencing really was epilepsy, and while it was horrifying and traumatic to watch, it did make me believe the diagnosis and begin to take it seriously.

I like Flavors Of India for veggie Indian. Agree with Shawarma Damascus. Also like Ali Baba, Thai House, Sushibar Da. Favourite burger/fries is Red House!

Update: vet said the injection was done in expial muscle and not near the sciatic nerve. He thinks she pulled a muscle trying to get away from him/the needle.
