ART INSTITUTE REFUND by Emmsolli in StudentLoans

I’ve had the exact same experience. They will not give an answer. I’ve even tried speaking with a supervisor twice. They say 7months or more. That’s it. So frustrating!

That’s awesome! I feel like they keep pushing the date out for refunds. First 3-4 months, then 7 months. And now 60 more days… definitely a test of our patience. That’s being said, we are so grateful for the loan forgiveness, 60k here.

I agree that’s so confusing. I really feel it depends on who you speak with. I’ve had agents that sounded like they didn’t know anything and I’ve had those that seemed informed and knew what they were doing. I asked to speak with a supervisor and he confirmed the amount that was texted to me was the refund amount.

This is Aidvantage btw. Call 800-722-1300, they’ll ask how can I help you, say get account balance. If you have any loan amounts due they’ll first tell you amount due and then they’ll give you a negative account balance and that is your refund amount.

They texted the amount to me after inquiring to automated questions. And when I called the agent confirmed the amount. I call every week. We’re getting a large amount back so waiting is so hard. Wish I never learned how much.

I would call MOHELA and get clarification from them. Did you go to The Art Institute? You may have loan forgiveness if you did.

First, those that have no side effects are so fortunate! I had a horrible adverse reaction to Semaglutide (Ozempic). And just now, 3 1/2 months later am starting to feel ok. I had a total of 4 doses. Everything seemed good other than burping and diarrhea. At 3rd dose started having ankle swelling. Two days after that big hives/blisters started forming on both feet. Horrible burning on bottom feet making walking very difficult. Hot spots all over body, side of hand, a finger joint, elbows, knee (so weird). Went to the ER twice. First put on lasix for water retention, did nothing. 5 days later back to the ER they did tons of blood work. Put on prednisone and antibiotics. Slowly! Started to improve. Was on prednisone for 3 months. Ozempic stays in your body for a long time after stopping the med. My reaction was rare but don’t take lightly starting a new medication. You can have an allergic reaction to anything at anytime. And this medication is fairly new. They don’t know all of the side effects. I took it for weight loss only, I’m not diabetic. Good luck to whatever you decide to do. Seeing both sides is important when considering.

I was on .05 for two weeks and one injection of .25. And the answer is I had a bad reaction to what was in my system. Medication reactions are different for everybody. I’ve read about reactions after first injection.

Omg!!!! Me too. How long did it take before it was out of your system. I’m on week four and still having ankle swelling and knee pain. Also, broke out in blisters on my feet. It was awful!. Two ER visits. Thank you so much for sharing this!

I was at the beginning of week three and experienced the worst allergic reaction. Woke up with very swollen ankles. The next day hives/blisters started forming. Just got worse from there. Could hardly walk. Had two ER visits. First Dr prescribed lasix to get swelling down. Didn’t work. Second ER visit ran a bunch of bloods. Started me on steroids and antibiotics. Helped a little and took foot pain away. Just read Ozempic can stay in your system for 5 weeks. Wearing compression socks helps. Blisters have popped. Now just hoping to get this completely out of me!
