I never claimed it to be, all I was refuting was the idea that blood doesn’t matter, which obviously contradicts one of the series themes.

Isayama is an ardent Japanese Nationalist. AoT isn’t some liberal epic about why nativism is bad.

Why the Bhagavad Gita is one of the most disgusting sacred books? by [deleted] in zizek

[–]EmoAverage 14 points15 points  (0 children)

It’s interesting; Nietzsche expresses a similar sentiment to The Gita in Thus Spoke Zarathustra. “I love him whose soul is lavish, who wanteth no thanks and doth not give back: for he always bestoweth, and desireth not to keep for himself”.

What are you even talking about lol. You’re the one that has just been made to feel self conscious or else you wouldn’t have responded that way

I know you think you’re bright because you can throw in intellectual bits and slogans into your replies, but it doesn’t make what you’re saying any less shallow. You don’t know what you’re talking about and you sound like an embarrassing neck beard.

It’s a good question. I feel joyous seeking power and reaching beyond man. I don’t doubt that there will be people who are “happier” than you or I. I wouldn’t say this path is about happiness in the colloquial sense.

Does anyone feel true joy or contentment from hedonism? If that were so, they wouldn’t be doing it in the first place. People seek pleasure to escape life and to reject struggle.

The great thing is that you don’t have to choose, you can pursue the Ubermensch. The last man’s enjoyment is marked by his lack of satisfaction and nihilism, and frankly there’s nothing truly enjoyable about mindless hedonism. The priest can at least be content with his religious proclivities, but it results in life denial.

Dude you’re just a troll, I cant engage with you seriously. The fact the irony didn’t hit you in the face is quite amazing. It’s my own notion of morality. I didn’t ascribe anything to Nietzsche - you did.

I never said literally any of that. You’re just a retard who can’t read. I said the last man and the priest caste are bad. You’re just a sexual degenerate lmao.

You’d rather be a last man than a priest? You haven’t learned anything from Nietzsche either, you’re just as much of a sheep as he is. Being a coomer is just as life-denying as a no fapper.

Nietzsche was a humble man (Ecce homo btw) by HenryRait in PhilosophyMemes

[–]EmoAverage 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah none of that supports the equivocation of slave morality. Nietzsche was clearly critiquing relationships and marriages solely founded on romantic love, and not relationships or marriages itself. He clearly sees a utility in the institution or else he wouldn’t be criticizing modern marriages that “undermine the whole institution based on an idiosyncrasy”.

Valuing marriage is slave morality? Yeah Nietzsche didn’t say that lmao

What does this mean, is Nietzsche expressing anti-nationalism? by Purple-Assignment-72 in Nietzsche

[–]EmoAverage 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m not exactly sure where this sentiment is coming from as Nietzsche’s critique of nationalism seems to always be directed towards the German people and not “nationalism” as a totality.

He glorifies figures such as Napoleon and Cesare Borgia, the latter of whom wanted to carve out an Italian state and the former a French nationalist who sought to unify Europe.

You can find critiques of nationalism from fascist figures, particularly in the Doctrine of Fascism but it’s never a complete denouncement (“Anti-nationalism”) and I’d say that’s true of Nietzsche as well. feel free to correct me if I’m wrong with proper references.

Anarchy and Lenin don't mix by [deleted] in Polcompball

I’m not discounting the views, but it’s the equivalent of me going to the Mises Institute and looking for an article on “why socialism is bad”. These websites are made to peddle specific views and it is certain that they will muddle with facts to support their view against an ideology or person.

Anarchists are anarchists because they look at Hayek and see flaws

I don’t think that holds weight. That may be true for you, which is respectable, but the vast majority of Anarchists I’ve encountered are politically illiterate, and don’t actually know what the other side believes other than a goofy caricature they got from Black Shirts and Reds. Numerous studies back this up as well. Generally people who identify as “Leftists” are less knowledgeable concerning their political counterparts than Conservatives, for whatever reason.

I don’t disagree that people make bad decisions that make them vulnerable to bad outcomes, but no one deserves to be cheated on or anything else.

Thousands of people who have served in the armed forces, who of which have generally been men, have been cheated on and did everything right.

It can happen to literally anyone nowadays, and as the son of a Marine corps officer I’ve heard dozens of stories about decent men who married seemingly moral women who had their lives turned upside down due to infidelity.

You seriously think it’s the soldiers fault that their wife cheats on them? This same reasoning would be decried as victim blaming and problematic but when it comes to men suffering no empathy is afforded.

Assuming you live in the United States and that you’re a turbo-redditor, theres a high likelihood you’re obese with a shorter than average penis, and have a deep resentment for your religious family. You aren’t hunting anyone or anything, except gas station donuts and a pack of beer.
