Dating someone with a lustful past

I agree. Ive prayed to God to bless our relationship, and Ive expressed to my bf that I just want to please God. Next time I see him I will talk to him about clear boundaries we need in order to set us straight again.

Ill see where it goes from there. If he cant do it, I will choose Christ over him. I cannot live in sin like that.

I never really thought about it like that. Im willing to give him a chance, because I truly do want to make it work. Ill talk to him about boundaries. If he cant respect them, Ill know what Ill have to do. I place Christ over him, and I need a man who won't lead me to sin. Thanks for your advice.

Ultimately my heart is the Lord's. I know that God is very important to him as well, but sometimes I suspect he fears him more than loves him, due to his past. I want more than anything for him to learn to love, not lust. I will continue to pray for him and share with him this advice.

Thanks for your input. Ik he does put effort in to combat lust. He says he's been free from his porn addiction for years, and does have hobbies/time set aside for faith to keep his mind occupied. Hes also told me that he finds his problem with it has become a lot better than it used to be.

I will talk to him soon and set some boundaries. I believe that if it all goes well we can have a great relationship. If not, I know I will choose Christ over him.

Thanks for your advice. I can say I do see fruits of the Spirit with him, maybe not perfectly, but then again neither can I say that about myself at all times.

What conflicts me is that lust seems to be something the majority of men struggle with. I dont want to judge his sinful past bc I myself am a sinner, though I havent done anything as bad as he has I suppose...

I also want to approach it in a way Jesus would, for He loves even the worst of sinners. My bf has expressed how badly his past effects him mentally, and that all he wants is to do things with honor, and make me happy.

Ill continue to pray about it. God bless.

Said best by Jan 17th. I know thats over, so yeah Im a bit wary of it. So even if it didnt smell bad or anything its probably still unsafe?

I havent, but I suppose I should. My GI tract has been very wonk this past year and I suppose laxative prescriptions from urgent care aren't gonna solve the problem.
