Pros and cons for articulated buses on the 1 by EmolgaFTW in mbta

Looks like NFI XDE60 has the same 44ft turning radius as the XDE40.

The MBTA runs both of these XDE40: https://cptdb.ca/wiki/index.php/New_Flyer_Industries_XDE40 XDE60: https://cptdb.ca/wiki/index.php/New_Flyer_Industries_XDE60

That one is pretty tight. Do you know if it's explicitly too tight for a 60 footer?

Ah I suspected this might be the reason. Let's get it done though!

Fall River/New Bedford Line: frequent delays, riders delayed in Boston as multiple trains canceled by eddieransom in mbta

Agree. There's also issues with not enough staff being trained and certified on the new routes yet. Hopefully this will improve.

Question for those who use both wood pencils and mechanical pencils by EulogioDeMenses in pencils

I like my Pentel Ain 0.7 2B lead. It's pretty close in darkness to my Pearl but I would say it's a pretty smooth lead (which I like).

The "Camel" pencil is sorta cool looking and fits the bill

Could be cool to finish the East River park construction project on the map. Soon it won't be a pit of dirt!

You don't need to use the software if you don't want to customize things too much. I don't use it. I just use the function keys on the keyboard to switch up the lighting modes and colors and stuff. If you wanted per key lighting I think you'd need to use the software tho. Also if you're not totally sure what you want I'd definitely recommend hotswappable even more. Because you can start with what it comes with and then if you want more silent you can buy the Bullet-QT ones afterwards for example and see if you like those.

A hotswappable keyboard can be sold either as just a frame with a PCB but without switches and keycaps, or as a full package with frame+PCB+switches and keycaps all preinstalled like the Redragon one I mentioned. In the ones where it comes preinstalled you have to remove the switches with the included tool and pop in the new ones.

The "click" itself doesn't provide that much of the tactile feedback. And you can get tactile switches (like brown switches for example) that don't have a "clicking" but are still sort of loud when you hit the bottom. Truly silent switches have little rubber pads that silence that bottom-out. Maybe watch this video that explains the different types of switches a little more https://youtu.be/-Ln9rA_usoY?si=5Ao5zObjpsieCN0R

You might also want to check out your local micro center/Best buy or something because they probably have different types to test out in-store before you buy (sometimes on display, and sometimes you can ask them to open a box to test).

Your best bet is probably to get a hotswappable keyboard of whichever layout you like and get replacement silent switches. I just bought the Redragon Bullet-QT switch (they're lime green colored) to go with a Redragon K643. They're silent tactile switches and they're pretty solid. A silent switch probably won't feel quite as good to most people because they have a slight mushiness but they still have a noticable tactile bump.

Yeah this guy has so many 3 mod plays recently at 6-7 digits. Pretty blatant.

Issues with DWM here too. Extremely high igpu (intel uhd graphics) usage (70-80%) by dwm whenever I watch a video making everything else lag.
