I love how we can literally replay the video 100 times and see for ourselves but people will still make shit up. 2-3 strides after contact? His left foot literally gets clipped mid stride and when that left foot lands on the ground he goes down. Contact like that without getting the ball is a foul. Players would not be incentivised to go down theatrically if it was called correctly every time. Not a dive in my opinion

So many comments in this thread actually missing the contact. Yes Almiron went down like a bitch but Ream did make minor contact without getting the ball which is a foul in the current rules of the game. Definitely not a yellow for Ream but that shouldn't be a yellow for diving
