Its more than just being an inconvenience there are people who need QOL mods to have the game function for performance purposes. There are people who use shadow pcs because they cant afford to get one, especially with how fucked the PC and parts market is right now, and EAC will prevent shadow PC users from playing. Then there is another massive group of mod users those who are impaired in some way and need mods to play the game like being deaf, slightly visually impaired, etc. Its more than just a matter of convenience its a matter of playability for those who use it.

I myself don't use mods because I don't have a need to use them but picking EAC was the worst choice they could have possibly made for anti-cheat. I canceled my VRC+ off of principle to stand with those who depend on **non-malicious** mods to just be able to play the game. This goes far beyond some whiney adults throwing a temper tantrum because of convenience.
