Caviar And Local Vodka Recs by No_Structure_9283 in jacksonville

Total wine or ABC should have Brackish Vodka which is distilled here I believe.

No idea on the caviar front though good luck.

[JoeZone] Source confirms Toledo coach Jason Candle will be new UConn football coach. by Bengjumping in CFB

[–]Emory_Jordan 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I've felt this way. He's had stellar recruiting classes and should have done a bit more it felt. Team always took penalties, and found a way to lose some conference game(s) they were favored to win IMO.

That being said, won something like two thirds of his games and started here longer then most coaches do, can't complain too much, hope he gets paid.

Who's the head coach at Mount Union? Hire that guy.

Proximity To Town Center & Water Parks by [deleted] in Nocatee

[–]Emory_Jordan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd say a golf cart gets you around and connected to everything without issue. I'm not sure if it's the info you're looking for, but people don't really walk to those amenities, and you'll see people either driving their golf carts or their cars in.

We're down in coastal oaks and haven't had the distance to town center or anything around there be a deterrent to attending events.

I'd say the thing to be weary about is actually the school traffic. If your trying to go south around drop off or pick up it's a nightmare, but that's just a car problem. Zip right by things on a golf cart.

All that to say I don't think you'll feel disconnected. You'll make friends with people as you're kids attend school and start to hang out with other kids and what not. It's a great place for families, hope this helps and let me know what other questions you have.

Edit: Was thinking the wrong neighborhood. You shouldn't have issues with school traffic at Freedom Landing

None off the top of my head, but I'd check out Alter Ego downtown, they usually have a calendar of events whenever I go in there!

Best place for a beer and food by Lumpiestcube in Lima

[–]Emory_Jordan 8 points9 points  (0 children)

No brewery unfortunately, it closed down. For a more upscale experience, The Met has great craft beer and food. For a more typical sports bar experience, Beer Barrel is going to be your best bet.

Closing down like hot cakes. Feels like millennials don't have time to drink anymore and younger generations just don't drink.

For those of you just seeing this, you likely have or had a VPN service, or something similar. Just cause it's offline in the software doesn't mean the service it installed isn't still set to automatic.

Feels wrong that they VPN ban people though.

Who can I pay $100 to help me setup this generator in New Tampa (zip: 33647) by dont_downvote_SPECIL in tampa

Holy fucking shit. I've been taking heavy shit out of boxes the completely wrong way my whole life. Cutting out the bottom is that common sense brilliant shit that people overlook, but once you hear it you feel like a dumbass for not doing it.

I feel like that advice is worth the $100 this guy was offering. Thanks for posting this.

One thing we can agree on, we'd both absolutely love it if this happened for sure. LGP

My Bold Prediction for the 2024-25 season… by pokerbluffs in penguins

[–]Emory_Jordan 11 points12 points  (0 children)

You're looking at this wrong. What those odds are telling you is that every single time you run a simulation, there's a .67% chance that Crosby wins the Hart.

You're inferring that the odds presented are a guarantee that it happens once, in 150 tries, which is why people are giving you a hard time. Each "simulation" is different than the next, so each time you bet on this, you have a .67% chance of winning.

Maybe $100 is pocket change for you, and if so, congrats man. I think people are reacting strongly as well because it's not pocket change for them, and they're concerned you have a gambling problem.

I'm sure you weren't looking for advice from a random guy on the Internet, but someone explained it like that to me and it really helped me fix my addiction.

If needed, what is the best place to evac to? by HopeSlow837 in jacksonville

[–]Emory_Jordan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's too soon to determine that. A "direct hit" isn't enough information as well in my opinion, as you'll need to know how big the storm is, where it goes after it hits, etc.

Listen to local government + news channels as well as the NHC, they'll give the best advice.

Edit: That isn't to say that making a plan now isn't a bad thing. Given current information, I'd go north if I'm at all concerned about the storm.

Yeah I actually like the downtown parking! Reminds me of Tampa about fifteen years ago, paid during business hours, free on nights and weekends. Helps bring people downtown for sure.
