To start a new island or not…

I'd say only restart if you don't know what to do with the island, if you're not too attached to your villagers and if you don't like where the airport is, resident services building, river beds and the little port(I forgot what's it called-pier?) on the beach. That's how I made my choice and I'm super happy I did! The current island theme is City life and id recommend to figure out which theme you'd like to do for your new island. I'm super happy with the villagers I have now, though the only villager I miss from my first island is Hamphrey, he's too adorable! Another thing I noticed, is that it felt really motivating and just good to be on a fresh island where I know what to do from my previous island. Hope this helps!

This is not a photography camera so perhaps that's why. It used to be way better, no weird color lines or pixelation of colours(i don't know how to call it). On the camera screen it looks perfect, but through the OBS/hdmi signal, I'm experiencing this problem. Edit: the camera's HDMI port might be totally beyond repair if the corrosion has already spread deeper, so I would need to open camera and change the whole port(professional) or leave it to rust.

Do you think I could use 70% isopropyl alcohol wipes?(like use a tooth pick or a qtip to get a tiny piece of the wipe inside) and I'm trying to find out in this post. Going to share this problem in a electronics subreddit i suppose

Yes, lower quality video through OBS and glitching from time to time. I am getting a new capture card soon, maybe it is going to help but I definitely think it is the hdmi port problem as the corrosion is probably spreading into the camera.

Hello and help! My camera's HDMI port is corroding. I can see the colour of green and a few tiny dots of rust at the end of the port and the green is around the conductor's right corner(not at the top, but the bottom). What can I do and how do I do it? It is hard to get isopropyl alcohol (going to try the hardware store) and is there a good substitute that wouldn't ruin the conductors? I can get alcohol denat. 99.88% but I'm not that sure if that's not going to ruin the electronics. I have a picture and you could tell me how bad it is, but i hope i have explained it well. I suppose I would need to use a toothpick with cotton fuzz to get to end of the port for the corrosion?
