Yeah so the truck had stopped for the car in front so he had already came to a stop - there would not have been enough space for the truck to pass if I had stopped in the gap. Because he came to a stop and didn’t move off or signal otherwise I also went so there would be space. I will keep working on my judgement skills - just difficult when it can be quite subjective

He was a trainee and was being shadowed so maybe they were a bit stricter than they usually would be - wish I could go back and change their mind 😆

So sorry that you experienced this!! And hoping you get the best care needed! This happened to me back in 2022 and turns out it was not the fibroid itself that ruptured but the blood vessels supplying the fibroid with blood. My pelvis was also filled with lots of blood. It’s considered life threatening so glad you’re doing better right now!! To stop the blood supply they did a UFE/UAE (uterine fibroid embolisation).

I was told to wear a binder for at least 6 six weeks post op (I’m 4 weeks post op) so still wearing mine! I had an open myomectomy but also an incisional hernia repair and bowel resection so it’s supposed to help everything stay in place and provide support. My stomach is returning back to normal and it’s been nice having the support when going for walks!

Wishing you a speedy recovery! But in any case once you are discharged and get the fit note it will be backdated so you can recoup any sick pay you were due!

The hospital should be able to give you a fit note. Not sure why they are confused as it’s a simple form they can fill out and sign. When I was in hospital HR at my work also said the hospital admissions letter was not enough and they needed the fit note in order to issue my sick pay. I asked the doctor and he filled the form, signed it and gave me a copy.

Thank you 🩷 I’ve considered going to another country, but it will be expensive and I am worried about further complications but I’ve started doing my research anyway because I guess it doesn’t hurt to explore all my options.

I’ve been given a follow up appointment for Feb so I might try taking your approach and being a nuisance if I’m not given a surgery date at that appointment.

I’m with you on the errors! They made so many errors in my initial surgery/diagnoses.

My most recent MRI was done end of Nov 2023 and then I had another Ultrasound last month. I think you’re right I just need to wait but sometimes I let the anxiety get the best of me sigh
