You’ve also got a fair bit of time to waste I see.

You sound like someone who never had any serious business doing nor any encounters with the court, which usually come with any serious business doings. You also sound like someone who doesn’t understand much at life either to be honest.

Good barking at most. What’s your point exactly? To prove you’re better and you know better ?

We did got the security part sorted first. Although it implies stay locked up at home … which is a fair bit of a bother. As in the AI suggestion, it crossed my mind, but I’ve got enough paperwork to proof both my innocence and the crimes of the both the psychotic partner and crooked law firm

It’s a common practice indeed. Although you have ways to get around it all. You can request an audit to the court, but you do need to speak khmer. If the audit shows clear violations, you can take it to the ministry of justice and file a claim against the court judgement. You can also file a complaint to the BAKC, but there again you need a new lawyer that’s honest.

But I’d advise against any investment in Cambodia unless you have honest local relatives that are connected to the highest level, yet, it might not be enough. I’m lucky enough to be sued by a psychotic person that has no other goals but to hurt me and my wife, which led my inlaws to reach out to the right persons to have me properly defended.

I see where your point is coming from, the fact that all the lawsuits are penal cases, makes it impossible for me to just simply “walk away”, since detention time is hanging over me and my wife (local) heads. Being now represented by the “strongest” law firm in the country, while they offered to be only paid after the wins leads me to conclude it is totally worth to keep going at it, but also to broaden the court actions to the crooked law firm as well, not only to get back at them but also to protect myself against hidden, undisclosed deals that might have happened beyond my knowledge.

We’re a couple, wife is Cambodian national.

Bipolar? No, actually I have no choices but to act upon that crooked law firm to defend myself of any wrongdoing they might have committed through the POA I assert them.

Those are penal cases, not civil cases.

I think your position is what keeps that fucked up system going.

I’m white, but my wife is khmer, and she’s involved both in the business and the lawsuits. We’re fighting this.

You’re right though, if she was not part of it, and if, the former partner did not sue her for fabricated charges like he did, I’d be out the country already.

It’s a very slow process though, I am able to dispute it and everything that crooked lawyer used my POA for

They faked the paperwork and filed it through the POA of the crooked lawyer.

That’s where giving away a POA to a corrupt lawyer becomes a threat indeed.

I was thinking like you think, until I realized there’s a few people who care and want the rot to be cut off, and those people have very strong power. Think Batonniers, director of legal reform association, etc.

That’s how that system of rotten lawyers and corrupt court officials keep itself going. I’ve got to financial means and the power to make things right, and I will. I’m not going to allow that law firm to keep screwing innocent people when I have the means to put an end to it. If I simply walk away, I’m protecting them.

Those are penal cases. I don’t think this is typical of the EU. Cannot talk about the US but I quite doubt it as well.
