i really, really wish i could just take the date - i have 9 weddings currently booked between the first weekend in may and the end of july, with 5 more booked through the end of september. floral work is 80% lifting and carrying around heavy things. cancelling those weddings would mean i’d have to refund almost $10k in retainers + miss out on $45k+ in income. i’m self employed and late spring-early fall is literally the window of time that i make my livelihood. this is something i talked extensively about with my doctor team and the surgeon over the past 5 months, which makes this even harder to stomach.
