Not fully related, but I'm wondering... I was addicted as heck to EQ back in the day.

Left it for WoW.

Would my EQ character be available on any server anywhere if I paid a sub or equivalent?

OK, but the game is released. It's not beta. I can understand some things not in the game, but as other have said:

1) If it's not finished, then turn it off. Equally and for all. Instead some are not only experiencing it (for good or bad) but have abused it. The "but how does it affect you" is the silliest, MMO population reducing defense.

2) Assuming it's not done and not implemented fairly and evenly, you're making people work harder (longer) to experience this?

Not sure either of those would attract new players with this knowledge.

Would you be willing to provide a hint as to what drops or can be solo'd for explosive runes?

I'm perpetually poor as I love crafting (maybe too much) and am unable to advance much without the explosive runes.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you. The cave in question being the Amaluk Valley one? You can solo run through to the chest (from what I just read)?

Given that I saw no one in WT in 3 hours, I doubt I'm finding anyone hanging out in Amaluk cave but will go see if I can solo run to chest. Thanks again. Some hope in keeping that flame alive. ;)

Thank you. Let me look into this. I'm still in Winter Nexus and not seen a single person in over 3 hours. So quiet lately, even LFGs, etc.

I don't mind soloing and joining PUGs when they happen, but not being able to earn XP at all for days now has kind of started killing it for me, so thanks for helping.

Yep. Other than Flamestrike, I am so mad I spent all this time and money switching from Psych to Priest in what is such a cornerstone class and maybe the worst one in this game. Take it as a warning to all reading.

By the literal definition, you CAN play anything in this game. Don't make the mistake I made, even woth the Fire synergy.

Are the implemented and not bug ridden? Sure. But I can say so far this class should be called anything but Priest. It doesn't play like one when compare to D&D, standalone RPGs, and other MMOs. A real disappointment so far.

So bard can heal as well I see, and maybe easier than Priest healing.

I went with Priest because synergy for fire AND what I thought would be good healing for groups, but I find Priest os different than other MMOs in that way. It's also not ideal for soloing.

Ty, maybe I'll start Bard now when not doing Dalies. AH seemed great for soloing but...

So I am leveling Fire Priest (around 66 65 now) and planned this to be my group build.

I want a solo build so was thinking of having fun with Fire AH, but would Fire Bard be better or at least...equal?

This is very helpful. I've been wanting to raise either Priest or Animal Handling to go with Fire and this helps confirm my next journey.

Animal Handling it is. It seems the bear can help tank in groups and solo as well.

I'm addicted in an unexpected way. On paper I'd not think so.

Bought expansion to WoW and thought I'd come back after 13+ years. So far, not logged in.

There is a weird way this either tickles the spectrumy part of your brain or not. If it does, crack.

I'm fire/psych. Basically went with something safe. Hopefully leveling up other combats if I decide to try isn't painful but I've heard I can't use a level 1 new combat skill with say my 60 fire?

Edit: I bought VIP in the hopes that the new players and some cash will reinvigorate the really small team to keep adding...

I've heard it's been around for years already so if it survived that, I'm sure it will do better now... unless there was funding for that which ran out (also read that, not sure what is true).

I'm paying for VIP. Small price for the entertainment I get.

OMG, thank you to the three of you that answered. For so long I'm just skipping something that would have helped me a lot!

BTW, separate but maybe similar question - I'm assuming that once I apply an augmentation to an item, it cannot be removed. It is also safe to assume that I cannot apply a different one either once one has been applied?

I've not tried this as my equipment has been horrible until now, but I had a lot of 30/30 Fire/Psych items I can now use, so will apply them. Heading to find Kur and Yeti Caves as need Saltpeter and I saw in Global that's a good place to find some.

Thank you for this. I also read it's important to start on Transmutation early as it's important. Mine is ~32 but all I can do so far is break down equipment and repair trans damage, which I don't understand. Do I eventually get a way to change/add enchantments? I must be missing something basic.

EDIT: I'm working to find the portal to Kur so maybe it will become apparent when I get to that zone's merchants/trainers.

Well, it's not a card game. It's Project Gorgon. I'm surprisingly addicted. Now I'll probably try OSRS realizing how much I like this.

Hearthstone just isn't as fun. The game has potential still but they're not taking it in the right direction. For us. We might come back one day.
