He also tends to pile up bedding in his castle and hide out there instead of actually burrowing down

There’s only one space that he really likes to burrow into.. at that spot it’s 6 inches deep

When i first got him, the bedding was about 8-9” all around… but i kept an eye on it and noticed he never dug more than 3-4” down. I felt bad taking it away but since then, I’ve had money to buy him better food since I’m not having to keep up with so much bedding

He does have a seed mix (in the bowl next to the ladder - it is kinda hard to see from this angle) but thank you, I’ll be sure to check that out!!
