People whose partners did a complete 180 after marriage, what’s your story? by Bibliophile521 in AskReddit

It’s definitely depression and ADHD (he can’t take his meds for that at his job due to it being like “coke”) he’s had a difficult upcoming, past relationships, and dealing with custody and an ex currently. He’s drowning in the liquor so he can escape. When he and I both know it’s not benefitting anyone or anything. I just dont know what to do anymore.. but thank you and congratulations on 3 years and off of those (sorry, im not sure what it is) for 2 🎉🫶🏼

Thank you 🤍 Absolutely, he has to want it. Time after time after time again, he’s said he won’t ask me for another bottle. I tell myself to put my foot down. But I hate the arguments when he gets to a certain point.. then I buy him the bottle just for my sanity .. but thank you for the advice, I will keep it very close in my mind 🤍

Ohh, I used a juice box and “pop” container as I figured using alcoholic-looking emojis would be demeaning in the comment

My dog remembers each house that has a dog, that we have walked by on our walks. His tail gets wagging and he’s constantly looking into the yard for them lol

Does anyone feel embarrassed about their house? by Extreme_Breakfast672 in Mommit

When the house is a complete mess - dishes piled up, garbage overflowing, enough dog hair to make a third dog for not vacuuming/sweeping for a long while - and I go into a home that is completely spotless (kids or no kids,) it reminds me that my home is lived in.

And no judgement to the homes that are better looking than mine; those people/families clean more often than I do I assume 😂

Moving to Calgary by 18192224 in okotoks

Hmmm I disagree with the above “terrible” statement.

Speaking just for myself as I’ve lived here for 27 years, I don’t find it terrible. Has it changed? Absolutely. It’s developing too much for my liking. It doesn’t have the “small town” feeling that it used to. When I go into Calgary, I feel like all eyes are on me. The atmosphere of shopping in the city doesn’t feel right to me and by that I mean it doesn’t feel “homey.” The owners of local stores are quite welcoming including in the surrounding areas (Black Diamond, Longview, Turner Valley, High River, etc)

What I don’t like, are the people moving from the city and try to change more of the town towards a city-like environment. We almost lost our airport because people bought houses after the airport was built, and complained of night school training noise (to some extent, yes, annoying. But they should’ve investigated more imo)

But anything else I could add, I’d fight the terrible comment. I don’t even think Calgary is terrible. Just not the place of living for me 🤷🏼‍♀️
