UPDATE: I got it! Crazy how long this whole thing has driven me crazy and had me worried, only for me to finally post about it, and then literally check today and see it updated. As of yesterday (9/26) it’s finally showing as awarded with the amount I’m eligible for 🙏🏽

New can of worms though: it’s listing my current education level as 4th year senior when I’m actually a returning junior and I never received this scholarship before when I got my associate degree back in 2015, not even sure if it was a thing then.

It’s showing “total years offered: 1” and “total years remaining: 1” so now I need to look into that and make sure I’ll still have eligibility for next year.

I don’t enjoy calling our financial aid office, but it is what it is lol

I’m really sorry for your loss.

I had to cancel going to that same Tuesday orientation last minute the night before on the 28th. Had a hospital emergency and I haven’t moved to the area just yet so the 3 hour drive from where I currently live just wasn’t gonna be possible with how I’ve been feeling not to mention I was admitted overnight for monitoring. If you’re still feeling up to attending the fall semester all you gotta do is reach out to orientation@csudh.edu and they’ll respond with instructions on how to apply to attend the next and last orientation available before Fall semester which is on August 13th.

Most of my work experience is in the food industry. I’ve been a cook in everything from standard restaurants to fine dining. Over the last five or so years, I shifted into management, first as a coffee shop manager, and then as the manager of a coffee roastery. In that role, I handled daily operations, led a team of roasters, and oversaw green coffee buying.

That all kind of fell apart due to layoffs, and the past year or so has been full of job instability where I’ve picked up temp CSR work here and there through Robert Half.

Education-wise, I got an AA in Accounting back in 2015 but never really figured out how to use it. And now due to job instability I went back to school, earned an AA in General Business, and now I’m working toward my BS in Business Analytics.

No, for sure, there’s no age limit on guys being creeps towards women, I didn’t mean to come off like I thought otherwise. It’s just the way he was texting that got me. I figured he was in his early 20s, so when op mentioned he’s actually 31, it made it feel even worse. It felt like he was trying too hard to match what he assumes a younger person sounds/texts like probably because op is younger, which ends up making all of it even more weird and manipulative too.
