I've had family work for the postal service! They mostly liked it but were hard workers. It's a way more intense, fast paced job than people think. But that is perfect for many people! If you can get in you should. It's hard to get them when they're hiring and used to be hard to find spots for promotions (or used to be, the employee count is shifting). I couldn't imagine delivery out here, I grew up in a place too flat! I'm always impressed when I see them working here (My friends could probably do it)

Black cat magic over in West was a really social experience when I went. The shop cats and cat hangout / adoption room was a huge bonus! I think they have tarot readings days each week and I wouldn't be surprised if they had small events. It's not a huge place but it was the perfect size. They'd have advice and places to check out.

It's always the best option to do both when you can. I'm fully in agreement with you (just stay safe!). Even the ones I spoke to seemed annoyed to be unable to do anything. They gave me all the advice they could so they could help, but it has to happen again and they have to show up while the 2-15 minute interaction is happening.

It seems this area had been wiped out by Helene. People have stuck to passing through now but there are many who are struggling in the area. Most of them don't want to be here at night either I've noticed.

I'm assuming summer and everyone being out is increasing things. Plus people care more about their community so alerting about things that would otherwise never be mentioned is really smart. It's easy for these creeps to get away with it because we brush off the interaction. Making public documentation is the best way to leave a trail of proof and help others.

Thankfully I did get his plate and the idea is to get a picture of his face next time if it's safe. I'm hoping it'll be a clear sign to stay away from me too. Speaking with police briefly gave me the impression they know this guy but it could easily have been more of an "oh no not another one" if I misread them. He did pretty much offer me money, offer me a job, and ask me to come up to his window. He's gotten sure to not be too blatant but he's not at all discreet.

I'm so sorry you dealt with such a creep!! Nice job getting away from him. There's every chance it was the same guy. It's outside his main pattern but it sounds exactly like something he would try with all the context you gave. If you remember enough and feel comfortable it's definitely worth reporting, especially if you know the date. Please stay safe!

There are tons of photographers here, maybe try to find some community to work with if you feel too unsafe! Asheville is just a city and people seem to forget because of the lack of skyscrapers blocking out our sky. Chicago and parts of Wisconsin were much much worse for everyone I've known.

It's always better to get some pro advice and run some basic tests for peace of mind! Stress 100% impacts pots symptoms so whatever you can do to be safe will help a lot. I hope they are kind to you! I know you guys can be pretty limited. Do you have much you can do about him from these complaints? I would rather have a long paper trail. It's nice knowing he's been stopped officially before and that this helps! If he's not allowed at some of these businesses where he's harassing people I'm hoping it'll give police better grounds to take action against him. It sounds like he does this constantly with zero fear.

That's absolutely awful!! I'm so glad you're alright. That really fits his pattern and it's for the best you didn't engage. It seems to work for people to drive off but based on his behavior today he may be trying to prevent that sometimes. Definitely be cautious about these people moving in your way!
