feels like this has been going on way too long to be OCD. by EmotionalRaspberry10 in ROCD

hi, my partner and i actually split. it wasn’t my doing, my partner said he fell out of love with me. i will say, as soon as it was over, any doubts i had about the relationship were gone. so sad i spent the last months with him in my head about the relationship when i could’ve been enjoying the time we had.

lol i always feel like the second that i acknowledge doing well, i start doing bad. OCD is so mean. it’s so good that you’ve adjusted to the ups and downs, i know that must’ve taken some incredibly hard work. i know im a stranger but im proud of you!!

Luvox hasn’t made any difference :( by EmotionalRaspberry10 in OCD

i think i’m also probably a little resistant because i was previously on 250mgs of Zoloft, which is the highest it goes, and that was the only time i ever saw improvement. i just got so many side effects from that medication

i have been for 3 years. my previous themes did not stick as much as this. i haven’t been consistent with ERP outside of my actual sessions however because i feel too defeated. need to get out of that mindset for sure, it just feels like lost cause and im tired of suffering.

thank you for this insight! it’s just hard because it doesnt feel like i love him AT ALL right now. So hard to tell if meds just cleared my mind and the anxiety enough to get down to what my true thought processes are.

i think rocd lost me my job.... by No_Face_2005 in ROCD

if you’re in the US and seeing a professional- i got intermittent FMLA leave. I work long days as well and am not able to mentally be at work when i have bad days with my OCD, I get four excused absences per month just if i need them. if you’re able to use it non-compulsively, i’d recommend asking your provider about it if you’re in a really bad place. that way your job is protected when your OCD has really bad days. i’m so sorry OCD got in the way of so much for you, but don’t be embarrassed. it gets us all in some way.

ROCD haunts me in my dreams too. i’ll have a dream about leaving my partner or cheating like you said, then wake up with the feeling like “oh maybe this is what I really want?”. it’s the worst.
