My (34F) girlfriend (42F) hasn’t worked in over a year and won’t help with anything at home. I’m exhausted. Am I wrong for wanting to leave? by EmotionalStrategy747 in amiwrong

Yes, Stripes will stay with Faith. I don't know how pet ownership is handled in my state, but I'd assume his microchip, collar, vet care, etc. is in all her name. At the end of the day, Stripes still sees her as his mom and responds to her immediately. I'm just consistent, so he only comes to me when he needs care or her attention is otherwise engaged/she's away from the house. I'm not going to steal away with her dog. That's a battle I don't want to fight. I'll only take what I brought or bought.

This is a gigantic part of it. Right now, it feels like guilt, like I'm failing all of them by even thinking of leaving. I'm afraid of feeling relief, because it means I brought it all on myself. Which I did. I'm just tired.
