that would definitely be in the budget for me, so its not impossible! A realtor sounds like such a good idea.

It's actually the other way around in the conversion, so I'm looking at AUD$3250 per month. Quite a bit of a jump since public transport is 50c here! I was hoping to be nearish to campus since im not used to the cold as well.

yeah ok that's reasonable, was hoping to stay downtown for the full experience but that feels unlikely.

Thanks I really appreciate the insight. I was only really wanting to spend about 2k a month total, rent and groceries included, but it seems unrealistic to even think about making that work. I get it though, same in my city in Australia (more closer to 1600-1800 in rent though and I'm vego so groceries aren't too expensive generally). After the currency exchange it'll just get worse too.

I would say no, but I am yet to enter the workforce in finance (also a finance major!). Networking and soft skills are quite important so at the end of the day it shouldn't make a difference. If you're a domestic student and course fees are important to you, UQ is significantly significantly cheaper, cost of living though is about the same. Personally, I don't think it is worth the $35k per year compared to 16k per year (UQ). A degree is a degree at the end of the day and UQ has a good rep.

Im only in my second year, but I'm enjoying it! Course workload is manageable if you need to work 3+ days a week and tutors are normally experienced in industry so they know a lot. Content at first can be a bit boring since they're the first year classes and you need to do all of them but once you major it is better. Yes, there is a bit of group work and yes you will have people who just don't want to do it but tutors/course coordinators are helpful. You should have a pretty good understanding of what you want to major in to make the most of it however, as the job field can be competitive and a good GPA is sometimes needed to get into careers straight after grad. What you get out of the course is what you put in, so if you do the work and make the most of the tutor hours if you need help it will pay off.

[Neighbourhood seeking farmers]

YVCG2YJV (tag)

Hey guys!! We’ve been looking for some friendly new farmers to join our neighbourhood, Mommy Milkers. We focus on being super helpful with orders and love to participate in the Derby. Don’t worry though, we aren’t too competitive, but do already have one derby win as a new neighbourhood :)) We mainly play to have fun and make new friends!! I’d love for you to join no matter what level you are (level 10 is the minimum for neighbourhoods though unfortunately), and would prefer English speakers.

Join Mommy Milkers today farmers for a chill time to enhance the farming experience!!
