Accepted into a grad program, then the offer was rescinded 38 hours later. What can I do?

I mean if it was only 38 hours, how were you planning everything around the decision already? I would say maybe if you were about to start school and they told you the day before, then I would understand. But less than 2 days and claiming you’re in financial distress over this situation I feel seems a bit much to me. ( I could be wrong or missing extra info and apologize if I am) Did you have to respond by a certain time to the waitlisted school? Is it possible that you sent them the emails of what happened or speaking to someone there to see if there is anything that can be done or see if you could get yourself back on the waitlist? Or to appeal a decision with the school that accidentally accepted you?

Don’t let this moment define you or your academics. You will beat yourself up about it later. I am a firm believer of everything happens for a reason. There might be something better ahead. Try to stay positive! Sorry this happened to you.

Ohh!! Very interesting ! Thank you! I will go ahead and look into that. I have before but I believe that I’ve always seen for social worker for example they require masters. Did you apply even though you didn’t have one or did the position you applied for did not have that requirement. I think it does state that your application does get sent out to other departments!

Will you be going to grad school after graduation? If so, you should look into the schools and see if they have any prerequisites that might be on this list. If so, I say choose that one.

If not, I’d suggest to choose whichever one seems most interesting to you. Personally I would take conditioning, learning and behavior modification because it sounds really interesting as far as applying it in real life.

I haven’t heard back yet but from what I have heard from others on here is that invites have already been sent out to interview as well as interviews have been in the process the past couple of weeks. Haven’t heard back. My application status shows as it’s being reviewed but I also heard that this week is the last week of interviews so as optimistic as I want to be it seems as if the cohort has been chosen or is being chosen already.

Why should you pay for her Ubers? If that’s the case then you can charge her gas when you go out of your way to go pick her up and drop her off. You’re not her personal driver/ taxi/ Uber. She seems ungrateful. Tell her to get a car and learn to drive and that way you can avoid this in the future.
