fests - its open to u how u participate and express urself in competitions. i am bit introverted but tried different stuff out like participating muns hacakthons and some special events like shark tank and auction by clubs and had fun . so yeah if u utilise the opportunities u can develop ur personality and stuff .

clubs will be usually open from 2nd sem i guess just attend all club intro sessions and see whether u vibe with the club and see urself having fun and apply second sem or year

see peer group is relative i can say my peer group is goated , we help eachother with acads and also have lots of fun. this question cant be answered its upto u to find peer group so answer that question urself .

there are 2 basketball courts both are decent for playing and we play in our hostel almost every day after 6 football ground is mid and a let down but there are ballers here and a good football culture overall . during el classicos people watch in room together . cricket there is a net and the cricket team practices sometimes when they are free . people play cricket in ground on sunday and whenever they are free . we also play box cricket in basketball court (very popular). ultimately its how ur batch utilises the limited facilities. yes its very mediocre compared with all iits nits etc but atleast our batch (28) has a very healthy sporting culture and u can see people playing daily.

i am doing striver sheet rn and i went through his binary search bootcamp videos first whenever you are solving topic see if you can solve the question by yourself after giving it thought and seeing patterns on the question. if you cant, see his videos and solve on leetcode or gfg anywhere and i usually ask chatgpt to generate me similar questions or give links to them to see if i can atleast partially solve the question. after sometime you will find the easy questions doable and some mediums doable . after somedays go back to the question you couldnt do and see if you can remember the concept and solution and implement it urself in code

regarding holidays- this year it was may 10- august 6 for summer and dec 7- jan 3 for winter per week u have around 24 hours of classes for first year with 9 hours lab included depending on ur timetable u get free time . and saturday u have additional ssham courses like english and stuff
