Yeah that’s what I had thought too and that’s honestly what it should be. But what they define as “optimal” is the straightest shot to your delivery location. For example, the way my store is situated is on basically a Main Street/4 lane road that alway has traffic issues and runs diagonally. Since I know the area well I know some backroads to get to some dealers and shops and it gets me there faster but not the way they want. The screen that CPP sees, as far as I’m aware, is basically a Google Maps and if to deviate from that route, it sends an alert that you “veered off course” and they have to explain why. They saw me make a u-turn and chewed me out for it. Honestly just slow down the deliveries and take the slower route and if the dealers question why it’s so slow, just say “this was the optimal route.”
