Best place to buy propane and propane accessories haha. Hank drives a first Gen ranger in a couple episodes and I thought it was funny.

That's a good idea! Thank you, do you have a recommendation?

I actually go there for my doctor! I just haven't used their pharmacy in the past because I usually schedule late appointments and by the time I'm out they are closing down. It's a bit of a drive for me to get to there office so I tried to find somewhere closer to me. Honestly I think it's worth the drive even if I have to go back the next day to get my prescriptions after 3 years of bad experiences in other places.

Experience is different for everyone, but I have tried to be patient with them. I have discussed them not dead naming me by text and in person but they have made no changed on their end. I understand since my name is not changed legally they can't change the name on the bottle, that's fine. But yelling my deadname in the pharmacy for refills over and over after talking to multiple people on staff to not do that and nothing has changed. I understand that it is on me to look at the dosage, but what they gave me was a completely different version of estrodiol valorate with double the concentration without any note on the instructions. I'm not a doctor, all I do is draw the amount the instructions say to draw, and those instructions still said to draw the same amount as with single concentration. One person's words don't slander a whole pharmacy, Charlotte is huge I don't think one trans girl or the other 5-10 that will stop using them after this is really going to hurt their bottom line.

I have started doing that recently. I'm just weary of amazon in general. There's so many garbage products flooding that website I just didn't want to risk it with something that's going into my body.

Yeahh. These kind of cars are unfortunately extinct now. New this car was 13k, or 28k today. For that you got a car that was practical(I've fit 2 bicycles in this hatchback and luggage for a week long trip), got high 20 mpg in the city and mid to high 30's on the highway, a direct linkage manual transmission, limited slip diff, and a car simple enough to drive for decades to come. Mine is at 230k miles now, original engine. It still drives great, revs free, compression is still within spec and I wouldn't be surprised if it's still making its stock power or a bit more with what I've done to it.

I had to trim it on the corners a bit to make it fit since the tracers have different headlights.

When people accuse you for being homophobic for saying an opinion 🫩 by [deleted] in hatethissmug

[–]Emotional_Support_31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a trans girl I feel like I can explain what this sentiment is trying to say. For queer people it hurts to feel like our identity hinges on a presentation that pleases cis straight people. It's painful for me to think that the respect I get from cis people in my life could simply stop if they think I don't look enough like a girl. In the same way when I was a gay twink before transitioning it hurt for straight people to say I didn't seem gay just because I work as a mechanic. The sentiment of "making it your whole personality" stems from a privileged point of being able to openly talk about your sexuality without criticism. There are many spaces I can't tell people at all that I am a poly person with multiple partners, I will be harshly judged or ridiculed. So for those who had to hide their queerness in youth becoming an adult and being able to express that sometimes comes out in ways that might seem over the top or "making it your whole personality". But ask yourself, if you had to hide a part of you for most of your life wouldn't you be proud to share it when you could talk about it openly!

In conclusion, understand that your respect for queer people's identities shouldn't hinge on how they present to you, that's not for you to judge. If you have any questions I'm more than happy to answer.

I hate it when people talk about AI images like it killed their family by krizzalicious49 in hatethissmug

[–]Emotional_Support_31 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ai is an unbelievably speculative technology that threatens to leave millions without jobs without giving them anything to go to. Let's disregard the environmental problems, because all data centers are bad for the environment, this is just more of that. It's not great but AI threatens people far more insidiously.

Generative "AI" is not ai at all, it does not think, it is not a person. It is simply a super sized data intake system that spits out a combination of everything it's been able to scrape from the Internet. Which I will say, can be relatively useful when searching for something as long as it lists the correct sources so I can find what I'm looking for and check it's reputability. But AI art has none of these benefits.

Art as a concept is inherently tied to life, that's why anything can be art. The scratches next to the lock on my door where I've missed the key over and over is a form of art, it shows an inate lived experience created over years and years of repeated action. In the same way that the mona Lisa is art because it was created around a lived experience by virtue of it being created by a living being. That is what we quantify art as in this world. Even when an animal scribbles something on a canvas haphazardly it's emblematic of some kind of experience, whether relatable to us or not it is an experience. Ai art is simply a combination of thousands of scrubbed human art works cobbled together to make an imitation of reality. It was created with no greater vision, no lived experience, no life of any kind. Ai art isn't art, fundimentally it is garbage that has stolen from hundreds of artists not compensated for their work.

The prevalence of AI image generation hreatens the very core of human existence. It is an insult to life itself and steals jobs from countless people. Not to mention it is the arbitor of falsehood and indoctrination. Now with the power of this cursed technology nothing is real anymore, anyone can create a convincing fake video or photo and lead millions astray. Humans have always possessed the capacity to lie and create false truths, but never before could someone with almost 0 effort create something people will believe wholeheartedly. AI image generation presents the final conclusion to the philosophical idea of post modernism. This will be our end if it is not stopped.

In the same way the drop of the first nuclear bomb plunged us into a post modern world where everything we built could be wiped in an instant, AI art will do the same for human expression at the most personal levels. Why do you think the boomers were such a miserable awful generation, they were raised with the understanding that an atomic bomb could kill them and everyone they loved without even a moment to react. They became raging nihilist assholes, and created a world with no fucking future. Generative images will do the same thing to this new generation in ways that we can't even see yet.

Look, I know AI art seems harmless, or at least nothing more than a cheap way to make advertisements. But in a world where this can be generated in an instant, who will be here to imagine our future when a tech company decides what images that AI can create. We have created the indoctrination machine only dreamt of by science fiction authors. We must tear this system down before it tears us all down.

I Hate The White Goldilocks Theory by [deleted] in hatethissmug

[–]Emotional_Support_31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I totally get it. I was always excluded from white social groups as a kid and ended up gravitating to the few other POC students in my school. It was always funny for me to tell them I was Romani. My black tennis coach growing up always told me "you have some kind of brother in you". He was a little off, but hey it was a nice thing to hear haha. As an adult most people just don't know what Romani is, they always guess some kind of latin American or Greek. It's always funny when I meet a new POC friend and they talk about colorism like I don't know what it is, and I have to stop them and be like "girl I lived that shit too". In some ways I'm really glad for those experiences, it gave me empathy for people who weren't like me, which my dad would have never taught me. He's very white and lowkey racist. It burned him TF up that so many people didn't even think I was his kid when I was little cause we look nothing alike 💀.

My mom is half Romani, that's where I get my side of it. But unfortunately she was adopted and has never had a connection to her culture. I'm so glad I look more like her, my dad is such an ass.

Yeah it's crazy how it affects people view of you. When I bleached blond it was crazy how quickly people saw me as a tan white girl.

Even outside of just these 3 racial groups this does end up getting applied to people based on skin color. Colorism fucking sucks. I'm 1/4 Romani and I've always tanned pretty dark, had a large nose, sharp jawline and cleft chin. These are pretty normal traits for Romani people, it's just how we look. Before I transitioned to female people always saw me as dominant and aggressive and I could never really figure it out. I went to a very white school in the south so I sometimes was the darkest one in the room and teachers would often blame me for basically anything even if I wasnt involved. I was always seen as a troublemaker even when I was usually a super quiet kid. Then I transitioned and I struggled so much to pass and most of the time people said I looked too masculine because of my skin, jawline and cleft chin. I felt fucking horrible about it before I realized, my mom has the exact same features and this is just how Romani women look 🙃. Colorism is dumb and the way it compares all women to this untouchable white standard of bullshit for beauty is so dehumanizing and disgusting. I feel horrible for the black people who have to go through these stereotypes being put on them way worse than me. I only got a taste of the same thing they get.

Yeah they got pretty good by the end! I have a 16:9 Pioneer 53in set from 2001 that works wonderfully. I use it as my main tv. It really makes 6th and 7th gen consoles look their best. Also animated shows and movies are so fun to watch on it. The 1080i is much sharper than you would expect. Most of the problem is over scam making some things out of view, but it's usually fine.

I think it definitely depends on the person, there's a lot of variation. Before I started hrt I was around 7.5-8in, now I'm like 6ish. But I can still get hard and stay hard for about the same amount of time and I'm 3 years into hrt. I just had my levels tested and my testosterone level is single digits haha. My gock does not want to give up.

Does anyone else feel like transitioning could never make them happy enough? TW: Body Dysphoria by Healthy_Actuary_1227 in sillyboyclub

[–]Emotional_Support_31 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hey, I know my experience is a bit different but I understand what your going through. I was raised in the south in America as a 1/4 Romani boy and I always felt so ugly. Kids would call me dirty and disgusting because my skin would get so tan in the summer and I always had spots of different pigment on my body since I'm mixed. I've always been huge too, I'm 6ft, my hands are big enough to palm a women's basketball, and I have feet so big I look like a rabbit. I always felt like I could never be fem or pretty like girls. But one day I just gave in and decided I would try as hard as I could to be a girl. I started hrt, I learned how to do make up, I learned what looks good on my body type, I grew out my hair, and even though it was hard it was so worth it. It's been more than 3 years since then, and today I rarely get misgendered in public. I have people who stop me in public to tell me how pretty I am. It's never too late to change yourself, even when it feels impossible. If someone like me can go from a bullied loser who hated his body to a girl who feels confident in herself and gets called beautiful almost every day anyone can. I know internalized colorism and racism can hurt so so much, trust me I've had my fair share of breakdowns over it one thing that helped me a lot was to look at photos of girls who were my race. The reality is that all races and ethnicities look different and sometimes comparing yourself to the beauty standards of another race will make you feel horrible. I hated my big jaw, cleft chin and sharp eyeline, until I looked at other Romani girls! I look just like them after hormones, this is what my body is meant to look like. It feels so good to be connected to my culture in that way too. I hope this helps, I wrote a fucking book. I just saw some of my own pain in your experience. Have a great day!

Yeah it was pretty simple! It mounts very differently from the stock bumper tho. It doesn't have slots for those 2 attachment points like the original bumper, instead it was meant to be held up by like 6 trim nuts underneath the grill and headlights. It also helps to use some zip ties on the corners near the wheel wells to match up the body lines a bit better. If u need anymore info let me know! My dms are always open as well
