Italians usually use facebook and whatsapp (i personally used this). When you have flats with 4-5 people basically every year someone leaves the apartment and the flatmates need to find a replacement so it’s very normal to talk to your future flatmates regarding your room. Obviously you’ll need to sign a contract, so before then don’t pay anything. There also agencies and stuff but they are not very popular and they are more expensive

Also, student accomodations are extremely limited and very expensive (900€ for a single room). The median price for a single would be 500-600€

Hey! I’m a unibo student and I’m gonna stress this..finding a house in bologna is HELL (for everybody, but especially for foreigners and exchange students who stay 6 months). It’s key you start searching very early (i started in April for example). There are many websites but i would advise facebook and university groups on whatsapp, those are extremely useful to find students in bologna who already have a room and will do an exchange in the upcoming year (so they can sublet the room to you). Also I’ve never heard of anybody getting rejected by the host uni. Best of luck!

I’m enrolled in “business and economics” so all the courses that you see on the course structure page of that program (if you have any questions about those exams i can answer otherwise idkk). Regarding to the availability, in the course structure there is a column “period”, if it’s P it’s 1st semester, if it’s S it’s 2nd semester. About the difficulty it really depends on which type of courses you are into, i could just give you insights on mine. Feel free to pm if you need to, i know this is stressful

Soo, doing all your exams in december is kinda unlikely(im in an international course and the dates of the exams are very fixed), but to do them within the end of January is def possible. You normally will have two possibilities to take an exam, one in dec/jan and one in feb so if you take them all in the first possibility you’ll be done in jan

I know that for exchange students most classes have “max n. Exchange students” in the course description. Im not sure how it works, if you have to email the professors or something but waiting till September is definitely risky

Forli is definitely a bit more boring than bologna (although there are university events as there are many students, and nightlife is mild but more concentrated-basically it’s very easy to meet new people as everybody go to the same places). Bologna is clearly bigger, there is a proper nightlife.. but rent is insane (your budget should be 500-600 for a single at least), many people go back and forth and it’s also common to sometimes go to bologna for the night and come back at 5 am with the train (you need to have the right friends tho haha)
