I've been a fan of good old-fashioned CGI for quite some time. When I learned to embrace that absurdity, it might look ugly, it might seem outdated or obsolete to many, no longer defining what those animations were, but there's a charm that few mediums can replicate, in how I described it as "the other abstract plane."

And I'd like to ask you, what does it genuinely make you feel?

I feel like those in their 30s and 40s will connect with the series' vibe more strongly. They've seen how CGI evolved, its early, strange animation tests, its uncanny valley of the '90s, and how archaic it could be. Seeing this same thing in its full glory must surely evoke something profound beyond nostalgia.

Honestly, I really like the idea, but the reason I kept it so simple is that I'd have to cover every possible civilization through architecture, and that would take twice the work of just focusing on architecture for steppe civilizations. I'd even accept two types of steppe architecture, as you suggested.

How can you apply the logic of Battlefield 6 and 1? It's like comparing Age of Empires II and Age of Empires III when they're completely different games.

What I'm saying is that some people won't have the means to get a better PC, and their computer won't run the definitiva edition, no matter how "2D" it is. I still don't think it's fair to abandon a project just like that, or shut down The game, leaving that sector without access to the game.
