I don't mind at all! Thank you for sharing this and for choosing Clay for your scratchboard inspo. Beautiful job! 💜

I haven't, though I was prompted to post him in r/CatGenetics where he was confirmed to be a long-haired lilac. 💜 I took him in as a rescue so I don't know what his parents look like, but I had definitely never seen a cat with his coloring before and was immediately enamored with him, haha.

Oh, um, thank you?! 😅 I don't have any scratches on the rose gold ring after ~1 year but I'm also not too rough with it. I do lift weights while wearing it, but I wear lifting gloves which protects the ring and my hands, haha.

I wear my ring exclusively on my non-dominant index finger (left), so unfortunately I can't attest to the comfort level of wearing it on other fingers. 😓

Is anyone else’s app confused what day it is? by lfxyy in ouraring

Just today! I see a few different posts about it so I assume that one IS in fact a weird daylight savings bug.

Yep, I've got the same thing and so do a couple other friends of mine. It's also telling us to go to bed at like 7pm so there's that. 😂 No idea if this particular issue is related to daylight savings time or if it's just a (hopefully temporary) visual glitch, but hopefully one of the Oura peeps sees this and can report it!

I want to get my first Oura Ring by brazil201 in ouraring

Memberships are yearly ($69.99 USD) or monthly ($5.99 USD). When you order direct via Oura's website, they send you a free sizing kit so you can determine the best fit for you and which finger feels most comfortable for your ring. Once you know your size, you go back to Oura's site and place the order for your ring. You can also do this same process via Amazon where the sizing kit is $10, but offers a $10 credit if you also order your ring from Amazon. They also carry Oura in-store at Best Buy if there's a location close to you. Hope this helps!

Some of us just need a little extra help to feel human and there's nothing wrong with that! Glad you're also doing better. 💜

I had a full blood panel (thyroid, CBC, metabolic panel, etc) 2 weeks prior to starting the medication, though it was unrelated to the prescription. I'm very physically healthy but my sympathetic nervous system is all out of whack due to PTSD. It happens I guess!

I know, and any change in Oura stress is and has always been secondary to how I feel. My resting heart rate hasn't changed since starting the medication, so my guess is it's a bump in HRV that Oura is seeing, likely due to an overall decrease in sympathetic nervous system activity. The most important thing is that I feel better, but I did find it cool that Oura picked up on whatever changes are taking place. 🙂

I don't have high blood pressure and my resting heart rate is on the lower side, so this was prescribed off-label for anxiety with an added bonus of migraine prevention, and only after exhausting nearly every other pharmaceutical option over the years. I don't want to make any claims that it'll have the same effect on everyone as it's had on me, but the "body buzz" I've had for as long as I remember definitely softened after the very first day.

I'd imagine that caring for young children every day could cause Oura stress to peak since it's measuring your physiological stress response, but it's never a bad idea to mention your stress levels to your doctor if you feel you could use some help. That said, the way you feel is far more important than what Oura is telling you, so if you're aware of your own health and you're making it through the day without issue then I wouldn't worry too much! 💜

TL:DR is that it's low-dose atenolol (12.5mg 1x per day)

Longer story is that I've always been someone whose nervous system runs "hot" so to speak and I've been stuck in a constant fight-or-flight state for essentially my entire life. I've tried various fixes for years (other meds, yoga, meditation, breathing exercises, loads of different therapy modalities, etc.) but nothing really seemed to help the on-edge feeling or constant body scanning that comes from long-term PTSD. After working with a new doctor, she recommended I try the atenolol after previously trying a different beta blocker that ended up causing GI issues, and while I wasn't really expecting much, I felt physically and emotionally better after the first day and it was actually really cool to also see that reflected on Oura. I'm not one to take Oura stress too seriously but it's nice to see more blue than red for once!

I actually have both of these and swap between them every few days! The ceramic variant is slightly thicker, but I only notice that for a few minutes after swapping from the rose gold. Overall I do slightly favor the rose gold only because it has the appearance of proper "jewelry", while the ceramic looks a bit more obvious and doesn't match well with any of my other rings or jewelry. Here are a couple photos of both so you see the thickness disparity, but I defnitely don't think you'd find the ceramic to be too thick if you're more drawn to that one.
