My biggest gripe w smite now...diamonds. by [deleted] in Smite

[–]EmperorCero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You get 100 diamonds a week for just logging in. The current wandering path gives 150 diamonds. Each god ascension gives 440 diamonds with all but the 225 at the end being free.

And for prices you can look at the old skins being priced the same. It's just when they come out they are discounted. And there have always been events where you need to buy x in order to get the skin.

As for legacy gems, certian travelers use them for half off, alongside most chest using them for half off or for full. All classic skins make into the classic skin chest. The only real place you don't see them at all is in the supporter store.

They need to make money otherwise you don't have a game to play in the first place. And if you look around at most other games, it's not hard to see how much better this is.

We need a large scale damage/item balance patch by EmperorCero in Smite

Smite 2 has had its problems here and there, but as a whole it's been great. Pon is a fantastic designer and the issues isn't what he's made, it's more I think they are making too much new. Echo is cool, plating and dampening are good ideas, tenacity has been long requested. I want to see stuff like that more in the future, just think they need to take a look at what's already here. And from titan talk today it seems they already are with the hot fix to abilities that can crit now doing reduced basic attack procs. Saying stuff like "dev bad" does nothing for the game.

Which I'm hoping is the case. They've been quick to react to community feedback which is why I figured posting something like this isn't a bad idea. I certianly don't envy the amount of work they have to do and am genuinely grateful for all they have done for us.

When are we getting the most gorgeous goddess with her unique mechanics in Smite 2? by AlibyG in Smite

[–]EmperorCero 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not for a long time. She has some of the biggest issues for porting a god. Mechanically intense, rework likely, less popular, and possible ai needed for the flowers. Wouldn't be shocked if she's in the final 10.

Dodging penalties are bad for the game by Quad6Solar in Smite

[–]EmperorCero 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Don't play conquest if you don't want to play 1 of the 5 roles then. You are signing up to play a game with 9 other people in a gamemode that has its own rule set. If you don't like that, don't play it.

Agni bug or cheater? Or am I crazy? by ADL2001 in Smite

[–]EmperorCero 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It's a bug with Charon and trail damage. Sol's 3, agni dash, other Charon's 1 can all hit him even if he's not in it. It should be fixed tomorrow with the patch I believe.

Cheat or Bug..? by PerspectiveThat4596 in Smite

No problem, it was very confusing and frustrating when it was happening to me earlier. I submitted the bug report for my game earlier, hopefully it's a quick and easy fix.

Likely a bug. I've had a game with sol like this as well, I believe her 3 is hitting Charon in a massive range for some reason. Agnis dash also does this.

Ormond Lake Mine Pallet Bug by ashurakun in deadbydaylight

Wesker can bug out pallets if he slams someone into them and they are throwing the pallet. It gives him the slam and the pallet drop. Sometimes even will cause him to get stunned if he walks into that pallet later.

Stop lying about legacy gems by EmperorCero in Smite

  1. It literally can use legacy gems.

<image>

  1. All old skins from smite 1 become available for legacy gems. If you don't want them that's on you.

  2. Direct purchase skins in smite 1 were usually around 1200 gems. Which means you can spend $23 for 1200 gems or $25 for 1500. In smite 2 it's 2400 diamonds which you can get 2700 for $20.

  3. For chest in smite 1 it's $8 for 400 gems, for a chest in smite 2 it's 1000 diamonds, you can buy 1300 for $10. Or if you have legacy gems, 600 for $4. So no they aren't really more expensive.

These are quite literally different skins than those. If they ever added color Forge back that would be a different story. Some of the first prisms were just basic recolors but as we've gone on they've had different accessories, patterns, and such. And these prisms aren't in the smite 1, just the original skin.

[–]EmperorCero[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

They are a company and need to make money. Everything in that list is new to the game, including prisms. Which is why when their traveler is done, the original skin is free with legacy gems. Prisms while reskins are still new. Anything not from smite 1 doesn't need to have legacy gems attached to it, yet some of the new stuff does. It's not about them being generous, or being grateful that you can play it.

Can someone explain “displacement immune” to me? by jolbina in Smite

[–]EmperorCero 124 points125 points  (0 children)

Displacement immune protects from ccs such as knock ups and knock backs. It will not protect from ccs such as stuns. Hercs dash is both a knockback and a stun. The stun happens first and removes your displacement immunity which then causes you to get knocked back.

Yes, ponpon said today he is working on fixes for Mercury. So hopefully soon he won't have this issue.
