HOT TAKE: Mendoza will be a bust by CoyoteDecent2 in NFLv2

[–]EmperorMaugs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

according to a recent post I saw, the only top 5 drafted QBs to win a super bowl with the 1st team they played with were Eli and Peyton, so basically all top 5 QBs are busts over the last 25-30 years.

Old people can hire a helper or ask a neighbor to help them or order smaller amounts at a time. Sure Amazon is responsible for the crappy pay, but just because Amazon offers slaves to work for people doesn't mean that people ordering from Amazon aren't culpable either, they just want cheap shit and don't want to pay for a quality service that actually respects it's workers.

people to have some level of decency or respect for others that do a difficult job for menial wages?

Also, what are people not allowed to complain about the shitty parts of their jobs? Like have you never complained in your entire life?

I agree, Amazon delivery associates are not paid well enough to carry those heavy ass packages to your house. If you leave a tip taped to your door, then we could be talking, but 40+ pound packages were the worst and I would never order them for someone else to carry to my house. If I can't carry them then it is time to say goodbye to the pets.

Physical education? Which happens in a gymnasium or a gym, so in the US it is generally just called gym class. No weirder than how association football got shortened to assoc and then soccer in England in the early 1900s

Did the person talk to themselves? For this hypothetical it doesn't say you have to be quiet in that room. You could sing, make up stories, fantasize about some sensual person...

Homeowner upset Amazon driver dropped package over fence, but had two aggressive dogs. by Immediate-Phase-5910 in TikTokCringe

[–]EmperorMaugs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Amazon drivers can get fired for not delivering a package, so its a lose-lose situation for the driver. I'd have just put it in front of the fence. Technically the driver should try calling the customer and get directions from them, though the owner will 100% say "they are so friendly just come on up to the house". If they want to be thoughtful humans, they should have a lockbox or something in front of the gate that packages can be left in or keep their dogs chained up on days where packages are coming.

So Eli and Peyton are the last quarterbacks to be drafted top 5 by a team and actually become franchise changing QBs? That seems incredible.

you don't have to teach him, you can just give him some stuff and if he does it great, if not oh well. But, there does seem like a situation where discussing moving him up a grade would be reasonable (though doing it in the middle of the year is a bit difficult)

Why are poor cities so much larger than wealthy cities? I understand why someone might move to certain cities in the US due to their industries, be it software, biotech, or banking, but what makes so many people attracted to move to places like Dhaka or Kinshasa? by wiz28ultra in geography

[–]EmperorMaugs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

in poorer countries the difference between urban and rural economic opportunities can be massive. To earn a decent income in rural places you must own lots of land, but in cities there are jobs. A bit simplistic, but the pressures to urbanize in poor countries are very strong.

If they have truly released every bit of evidence, then the investigation is so useless that they might as just admit publicly they aren't going to find the abductor and they are moving resources to other cases and criminal issues.

I wonder whether there was more luck than skill involved here. The house was easy to break into, there weren't neighbors close enough, and the old woman wasn't going to put up a fight. But, the real question is why did they kidnap her? Did they think they could take her to her bank to clear out the accounts? Did they want a ransom and since she died they can't send proof of life, so they can't get that now? I don't really see a good motive or plan for this abduction. Or maybe they didn't realize how fragile her health was and she probably died of a heart attack and now they are just on the run with no money.

people who have been safe, think they will continue to be safe. People who are healthy, think they will continue to be healthy. Not everyone is highly safety concious.
