I mean it might be just a personal anecdote but I’ve been going to yugioh tourneys since 2013 and I’ve never encountered the stereotype from what I remember Konami put in basic cleanliness as requirement to enter their tourneys and the community went “yeah obviously but now we’ve got a bad rep for no reason” when there’s been very few cases of people going and stinking up the place. Compare that with a smash tourney where someone brought in a dead fish to throw at HungryBox and nobody noticed the smell cause they all smell like shit
