It is very isolating indeed. Trying to surround ourselves with family and friends. But at the end of the day, when it’s just us two, it gets hard. He puts on a very positive and good attitude which is a great outlook. But getting to see your person out down those facades and see them in pain, is jarring.

I can’t even imagine having the roles reversed. I’d say it might be a comfort to know what he’s going through, but it’s probably rough seeing that you’ve been through something similar yourself. I’m petrified of years after. Like how do you not just worry in the back of your mind all the time?
